How many Knights of Columbus are Mensans?
The Knights of Columbus are a charitable men's fraternity comprised entirely of Catholic members.
Mensa is a high-IQ organization, inviting only the top 2% into its ranks.
I personally know four (including myself) members of the Knights of Columbus who are also members of Mensa.
I am wondering if anyone knows of more, or if there are statistics somewhere out there in the ether.

Apparently those who disagree with Prop 8 agree with sending death threats and ~anthrax~ in the mail!

Do they think this will help their cause?

According to the Bible, Kings 11:3, King Solomon had 700 wives. How many mothers-in-law did this man have?!

3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoGood Friday, Easter Sunday, what about Saturday?
My family is Catholic (wife converted), and my wife's sister married a Methodist. We celebrate Maundy Thursday (Last Supper and Jesus' arrested), Good Friday (crucifixion and death), Holy Saturday (Jesus in the tomb, descends to Hell), and Easter Sunday (Jesus rises from the dead).
Last year, my wife's sister's family held her baby shower on the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. In their own words, "It is just Saturday."
Can someone explain to me how you can have Jesus die on Friday, rise from the dead on Sunday, and treat Saturday like just any other weekend day?
(and please, no answers of "god doesn't exist" and all that.)

Much to do with words that rhyme and should not, or should not and do. Examples: Good and Food. Comb, Bomb, and Tomb. etc.

This may sound humorous, but it is not intended to be as such. My wife's sister is very concerned about this.
15 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoBruce Lee Movie - horse whip and clay pots?
I'm looking for the title of a martial arts movie. It stars someone that, as a child, I thought was Bruce Lee, but it may be one of the "pretenders to the throne" after he died. I saw it on television, Saturday morning "Kung Fu Theater." Here is what I remember:
He ran a martial arts school.
He got beat up.
He trained hard (can you say montage?), by kicking clay pots filled with water.
He fought bad guy after bad guy, and even fought a guy who was on a horse, who weilded a whip. This scene, I think, was shot on a green-grass field with trees planted in rows.
The end bad guy had a white uniform with a wide red belt.
Our hero, of course, was the victor.
I know this could describe multiple movies, and I saw it so long ago (likely 1982 or thereabouts). Any help is appreciated.
6 AnswersMovies1 decade agoEntertainment in Las Vegas for a Bachelor Party?
My friend is getting married, and the bachelor party is in Las Vegas. None of us have been there before. We will be arriving on a Friday morning, and leaving that Sunday night. I would like information on places to go for good 'entertainment,' of varying types. Please no weblists of places...I have that. I'm looking for personal experience. Thanks!
6 AnswersLas Vegas2 decades agoI found a website that offers a home-version of LASIK. Is it real?
The website is http://www.lasikathome.com./ I am not affiliated with it at all, and I HAVE to think it is fake. But, I can't see anything on the site that says it is not real. Has anyone heard of this before? I am not recommending it, but what do you think?

1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture2 decades agoI have heard people claim that God prefers you to be vegetarian. Those who feel this way...?
How do you combat this scripture:
Genesis 9:3
(God, talking to Noah and his sons) "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and just as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything."
Seems like eating meat and the flesh of animals is not only allowed, but it is a gift from God Almighty!
