This time last year, I listened to Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan, Green Day, New Found Glory, and 3 Doors Down. Now, I listen to Linkin Park, AFI, Thrice, Mudvayne, Three Days Grace, Disturbed, and Papa Roach.

How different is the music you listened to last year from the music you listen to now?

I just saw this thing you guys answered about being a featured user on the Yahoo! answers masthead. You said that you were planning on picking users below level five, but were interesting anyway. What qualifies as interesting? What is the basis for being a featured user?

Mine is the phoenix. Cryptozoological animals (sasquatch, chupacabras, etc.) don't count.

I'm doing a cause-and-effect essay on how a hobby can help improve/keep your grades up. Does anybody have any personal experiences where having a hobby helped improve/keep your grades up? Please state your first name and the state where you live. Thanks for your help.

I mean, ocassionally spelling the word 'really' without the A, or leaving out a comma here and there, or forgetting to capitalize the beggining of a sentence, we all make those mistakes. But really, when the question is so poorly worded that one cannot understand it, isn't that pretty bad? I mean I, at age 13, find myself picking up spelling mistakes and incorrect grammar. Why do you think people are this way, just lazy or truly stupid?

Earlier I posted a question about Radio Disney playing Linkin Park songs, and there were some comments about children's networks in general, so decided to ask this question. Out of the three things listed below, which do you think is most disturbing?

Radio Disney playing "Faint" by Linkin Park (refer to my question "Can you believe it?" for a sample of the lyrics)

An episode of Rocko's Modern Life (an old cartoon from the early '90s, they still play the show ocassionally on Nicktoons Network) entitled "Shnit Heads" (that's exactly how it was spelled)

The episode of Spongebob Squarepants where Plankton removes SpongeBobs's brain and puts it in a robot, and the robot tells Plankton to "get welded".

My little sisters listen to the radio station Radio Disney, a station directed at 6 through 11-yr-olds, though most kids I know who listen to it are 8-10. Anyways, they played this song by Linkin Park called "Faint", I don't know if you've heard it, but it's one of their heavier songs (2 or 3 times as heavy as "Numb" or "In The End"), and it goes /I can't feel/ The way I did before/ Don't turn your back on me/ I won't be ignored!/ Time won't heal this damage anymore/ Don't turn your back on me/ I won't be ignored!/. You kind of have to have heard the song to be as surprised as I was, but you get my point. Don't get me wrong, it's one of my favorite songs, but would you really want a young child to hear that?

I took the Tickle tests Classic IQ test over the internet, and according to the website, I have an IQ of 118, and that was when I took the test at age 12. I also read that 110-119 is considered high average, or 16.6% of the population. It is, of course, impossible (well, not impossible, but highly improbable) that my IQ, at age 12, would be anything higher than average (90-109, 50% of the population). So which was wrong: the fact that 110-118 is considered high average, or the website Tickle Tests?

If there is one artist out there that you think could be used as torture, name him/her/them. Why do you hate them?

I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH Y! BEFORE, BUT WHEN I HIT "REFRESH" IT GAVE ME THE LIST. BUT, A FEW MINUTES AGO, I WAS TRYING TO WATCH AN LP MUSIC VID, AND THERE WASN'T A VIDEO TO BE FOUND! Whenever I put a CD in, my computer automatically goes to Musicmatch Jukebox, and I want it to automatically go to Windows Media Player. Instructions for Window Media Player 10 please.?
