When the news says someone is being HELD ON BOND, does it imply that they have posted bail?
I read all the time that someone has been arrested and is "being held on $x bond", but rarely does the article explain whether the accused is still in jail because they weren't able to post bail or if they posted bail. Is there terminology that I am missing here?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoCan I buy a 5 year Certificate of Deposit for $350?
I was/am the treasurer for my high school class. After our ten-year reunion we ended up in the black by $350 or so. I won't need to look at this money for at least seven years so it would make sense to me to lock it up in a financial instrument like a Certificate of Deposit. The ones I've found all start at $1000 though. Does anyone sell them for oddball small prices like this?

How do I solve for the Rate of Convergence of an iterated function? I know the function converges to 0 as n approaches infinity, and I am interested in how fast.
Specifically: f(n)= the nth sin of 1 (or x)
e.g. f(5) = sin(sin(sin(sin(sin(1)))))
