I think I've heard about some sticky stuff you put on the lower corner of a picture frame then press the frame onto the wall and then it won't tilt. What is the stuff? Are there any other suggestions?

I have an old cat that hangs around here. He is very decrepit and moves stiffly and can't even clean his own fur coat. To capture him in a cage and transport him to a vet would be too terrifying for him. I'd like to make him more comfortable. He seems pretty happy to stay close by here and I feed him twice a day and have given him worming med and flea drops. He's still quite thin. What would you do/give him?
