  • Avoiding Resume' mistakes story on Yahoo?

Just yesterday or maybe the day before I recall reading a story (thought it was a yahoo story) on resume' mistakes to avoid. I've searched and searched by I cannot find it. Any help in tracking it down would be appreciated.

  • What kind of gun is that?

I caught a review of a gun on the military channel the day before yesterday. What I remember about it was that the magazine loaded on the top and the shells dropped out of the bottom (thus not spraying them into someone standing next to you). The barrel was internal and didn't extend outward like they do on standard machine guns thus making entry into doorways, etc. that much easier as well as sweeping.

It was a bada** gun and I want to say they called it a P9 but I haven't found it doing an internet search.

  • Honestly, is that really an Eagle?

I played this executive 9-hole course by my house that I frequent on occasion.

The 9th hole is listed on the score card as a 252 yard par 4.

I drove the green and left myself with about a 2 foot putt that I made.

While the score card did list it as a par 4, that's a pretty short par 4 when you consider the length of many other par 4s in golf.

    Okay golfers what say you??

  • What if someone sneezes as you're about to hit the ball?

Let's suppose you're about to tee off or putt (or really any other shot where you're in close proximity to the other golfers of your party) and right in the middle of your swing someone sneezes or say they take a swig of water/gatorade and it goes down wrong and they start coughing??

As a result, you totally shank the ball. Do you get a do over???

  • Nippon N.S. Pro 900XH Shaft?

I checked the Nippon website but I was unable to find the torque specifications for this respective shaft.

I have them on my Cobra S9II irons (Regular Flex) and was curious as to what the torque rating is on them.

  • Is there any chance my handheld Sony TV.....?

I've got a golf/camping weekend planned over Father's Day weekend. I have this older Sony black and white handheld television with an antennae and I'm curious as to what the odds might be that I'll be able to catch any of the U.S. Open on it.

The switch to digital is supposed to happen (I think on the 12th of June) but I thought I'd heard that you still might be able to pick up a signal.

  • Help with my scorecard (slope and rating).?

I played 18 on Wednesday. We played from the whites. I was going to plug my score in for my handicap tracker and I noticed that on this scorecard, there are two slope and ratings under the white tees.

    They read like such:

    M: 69.8/125

    L: 75.5/132

What is the difference? What is the M and the L for? I need to know which one is applicable to me.

    Thanks.

  • Tips to minimize Driver slice?

I've got my first 18 set for Wednesday on a bigger course so that means that unless I want to stick with my 3wood (which I very well may), the big dog is going to have to come out.

I don't tend to slice any of my irons or my 3hybrid but when it comes to a 460cc driver, the slice has a tendency to rear its ugly head.

Just looking for some reminders to think about from now til then. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks

  • How big would a bird/duck/goose have to be?

How big would a bird/duck/goose, etc. have to be in order for an average sized human to hold onto its feet and go airborne when the bird took flight?

  • Hybrid Club: Shaft selection.?

I have regular flex steel shaft irons. I'm thinking about getting a 3 hybrid but I'm curious to know if I should get a graphite shaft or a regular flex steel shaft.

It seems that virtually all of the [off the rack] sets that feature steel shaft irons, but include maybe one or two hybrids in the set, will have graphite shafts on those hybrid clubs.

I'm curious to know at what point do you cross the line into a different shaft material and/or what necessitates that switch? For example and clarification consider the following, if you play steel shaft irons, it's highly unlikely that your driver is a steel shaft.

  • Can you help me in syncing Outlook with an external email account (hotmail/msn).?

If you can put it in layman terms how to go about doing this I'd really appreciate it. Otherwise, if you can refer me to a website that outlines the process that might work too. I ran a cursory search and didn't find what I was after.

  • How similar is the economic malaise portrayed in Atlas Shrugged to that of today?

Of course this is all very subjective indeed but I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts?

  • Am I the only one who sees politics as a battle between....?

...the political class and the working class or collectivists vs. individualists?

In my opinion, it has become increasingly apparent that the political battle is no longer one of Democrat vs. Republican or even Liberal vs. Conservative. Republicans supported Bush's ridiculous "stimulus" plan before they (save 3 of them) stood in opposition to Obama's. There is no credibility in that. In fact, it bets the question of whether or not they'll revert back to their "Democrat light" big government (ahem) "conservatism" 10 years or whatever down the road when their own party runs the executive branch.

And let's be honest...at the end of the day, be they Democrat or Republican, they've got their sweet taxpayer funded package of goodies and they're no doubt slapping each other on the backs chumming it up like college buddies.

  • Custom fitting: Is a half inch significant?

I had a fitting session for some new irons this past weekend at Golftec. Following the session, I found the Cobra S9 irons to be the club for me. The suggestion according to the printout and the guy running the session was a 37" shaft (on the 6 iron) and a 62 degree lie.

The ACTUAL specifications for the Cobra S9's 6 iron is a 37.5" shaft length with a 62.5 degree lie.

Is that significant to make a big enough difference or should I have the clubs adjusted accordingly?

  • How do you define Patriotism?

Do you define Patriotism as allegiance and loyalty to your home country and thus defending it?

If so, then would you say that the Nazi's and the Soldiers of Soviet Russia Patriots too?

What separates an American Patriot apart from the two aforementioned then??

  • If Ann Coulter is really the "voice" of Conservatism, then answer me this.?

Why did she title her book "If Democrats had any brains they'd be Republicans" (instead of ...they'd be Conservatives) and then during the election oppose McCain saying she'd campaign for Hillary Clinton if he won the nomination? That doesn't sound too credible now does it?

Seriously, as a conservative/libertarian, I find her and Hannity to be completely without any credibility on the subject whatsoever.

And, if so, what you do think it's going to take (outside of a government created task force) to get these folks to finally dispose of them?
