  • Where can I find a complete list of Alice Hoffman books?

Where can I find a complete list of Alice Hoffman books that are exclusively for adults? I'm not interested in her books written for young adults and yet, whenever I try to look up the names of her books, these are included.

  • I'm looking for the name of a John Wayne movie. Can you help me?

I'm looking for the name of a John Wayne movie that has gold, a sinking ship, a rebellious brother for John's character and women for both their characters (the brother's love drowns, which devastates him). I saw the movie more than once as a child and yet, can't find it now.

  • I have a difficult adult daughter?

She deliberately throws me under the bus in front of God and country and has done so for years. Now that she's a mother, it's worse as she feels compelled to prove that she's not ME! I'm fed up with her mood swings and back-stabbing, etc. How can I better relate to her without totally cutting her off, which is what I may have to do in order to preserve peace in the family.

  • How long do I have to cook two pieces of tri-tip roast in the slow cooker?

How long do I have to cook two pieces of tri-tip roast in the slow cooker? One weighs 2.45 and the other weighs 1.86 I was thinking to just toss them in together.

I've invited four people over for Christmas dinner and really don't need to screw it up! I'm also going to toss in carrots, potatoes, celery and onions. Any help you can give me regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated!

  • What is normal for this age... ?

I didn't experience this with any of my children and have never heard of this before, but the day my grandson got home from the hospital he was lifting his head. Now he's cutting teeth. He's less than two months old. Is this normal or an indication that something may be a bit off?

  • Is it cheaper to buy a whole new diamond ring or have a stone re-set?

I lost my spouse a decade ago and gave my wedding band set to my daughter. Her husband wants to purchase a wedding band set for her and I told him to have my old stone re-set into a new band as she doesn't like the color of my set. That, and I can also pass on something to her that is of some value. Can anyone on here tell me if it's cheaper to buy a whole new diamond ring or have a stone re-set?

  • How can a heart attack be prevented?

I was told that I have a 50/50 chance of having one and I'm not looking forward to an early demise. The kids and I have already lost their father due to heart disease and I don't want to put them through that again.

  • I have many questions regarding watching All My Children and OLTL on-line; can they be answered?

I'm glad AMC and OLTL are being brought to the Web. However I do have a few questions and am not sure where to get the answers. Can anyone on here help me out?

I live on a limited income and would like to be able to still see my soaps. If I can prepare financially, it would be a major help for me. How much will it cost? Will it attract MORE viruses if done through live-streaming? Do we need any special equipment? Will our older computers need to be upgraded? Does anyone know if this will done through subscription? If we have to pay, I don't have a credit card. Do ventures like this take *that* into consideration? And what about the older crowd who have been watching for ages and have absolutely no computer expertise?

Thank you for any help given. :)

  • Are there going to be more of these...?

I bought my son the "Inheritance Cycle" by Christopher Paolini. The titles in this trilogy consist of "Eragon", brought out in 2003, "Eldest" in 2005 and "Brisingr" in 2008. Is there going to be a fourth edition to this collection and if so, what is the name and when will it be coming out? Thanks!

  • What are the names of the demonic looking rag dolls that were sold at “Hot Topic” late '90s, early 2000s?

I know of "Jaded Jenny" and "Twisted Tatum". I think "Emily the Strange" may be part of this collection, but I'm not sure.

I bought "Jaded Jenny" for my daughter one Christmas a few years back and was interested in completing the set for her, but I don't know the names of the rest and don't know where to find them. Can anyone on here help me? Thanks.

  • What does an ear ache feel like and how would I know if I have one?

My ear has been burning and when I had mentioned it to my doctor *a few years back*, she was going to give me topical cream "for the pain". It's now on fire and draining. Any indication that there might be something wrong with my ear? I've never had an ear infection before and don't know what signs to look for.

  • Is all this health care hullabaloo *really* worth it?

According to impending changes in the new national health care policy, everyone’s employer will be required to carry health insurance on their employees. On a nationalized level, that concept should work in the long run, but for the short-term, it’s hurting more than it helps a few of us.

I have health insurance though my employer, but it doesn’t cover but TWO of my medical needs. It appears that I’m paying for nothing. Would it be advisable to drop the insurance until everyone is forced to carry it or keep shelling out necessary dollars for fluffy healthcare?

I have immediate health care issues that don’t appear to be covered by my insurance and yet I’m paying for something that I have to have but can’t use. Any HELPFUL suggestions regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated!

  • How do I address this matter with my father?

I have an elderly father, who, when I ask him for advice or guidance, has a tendency to take over as if it’s his situation or issue to deal with. How can I tell him to back off, that I only need his advice or guidance, without hurting his feelings or alienating him?
