let me see...uhm.. i'm 33, married, and have a beautiful 2yr baby girl. she is the apple of daddy's eye!! i'm also a believer, that is a christian and a minister, but you won't find me to be 'preachy' because that just not me. i'm here to give a reason for the hope i have and work out my faith in humility. so i welcome any reasonable questions you might have about Christianity. doesn't mean i will have the answer but i will be honest with you.
Which Baby Name?
We are in the process of picking a name. Help us out by letting us know which one is good and why, if you don't mind. We do want "Hope' as the middle name. Also, we are open to any other names that would be good with 'Hope'. So, please suggest those also.
Alorah Hope
Rainy Hope
Honorah Hope
Autumn Hope
Emmorah Hope
Trinity Hope
Thanks!

...that water will boil at the same temperature in a 100yrs from now as it does today? Can I be assured and convince that it is going to boil at the same temperature in 100yrs as it does today even though I don't 'see' the future, sort of speak?

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoScientifically, has Jesus' resurrection been disproved?
If so, how?
*Side Question: If it is disproved, is there a historical feasible alternative explanation for the birth of Christianity?
As a Christian, I would burn my bible and walk away if somehow science can prove that the resurrection didn't happen. I'm just looking for what is real and reasonable in life.
Please don't say that you don't have to prove or disprove anything. Isn't the scientific method about demonstrating the truth or falseness of a hypothesis? This is what I'm asking for with this question.
If you don't believe the resurrection of Christ, scientifically how can you prove or disprove that?
I'm looking for honest, intelligent answers. I want to see opposing views of the resurrection and follow any leads oppose to it.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat was 'Expelled' really about?
The documentary was about academic freedom. The freedom to discuss in large part the beginnings of the world and how the scientific community has built a "wall" around any discussing that doesn't fit their view points. The goal of the documentary was not to promote creationism or intelligent design but to promote a environment of freedom to discuss all aspects of 'creation' - whether it is evolution, creation, or any other aspect. Ben Stein was not saying "Stop! The Darwinites are evil!". His point was to show that evolution has some 'holes' in its theory and we should all be allow to discuss them. There is a connection between evolution and Nazi Germany in the documentary but it's connection is through 'eugenics' and how Nazi Germany took the idea that they can better a generation/race bye eliminating all the 'weak'. The idea was not that evolution cause the Holocaust but a key component of it.
If you saw it, what was your take of the documentary?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAtheist, who believe in evolution...?
Do you believe that the world could end through evolution? Do you believe that the world could reach a maximum point in it's evolutionary process and cease to exist? For example, this might not be a good example but... take a balloon, if you inflated enough, it will eventually pop. Thats the idea I'm talking about. If we continue to evolve, will there ever be an ending? And if so, what happens next?
I'm a Believer but this question is for Atheist and all those who believe in evolution. So please, no smart remarks, condemnation and so on by Christians and other religious views. Save any ignorance for your own questions!

Agree or Disagree. Explain if can...
I read it in some music lyrics and it made me wonder if we really are that close to insanity on a daily basis. And if this is true, what keeps a person from 'crossing' over to insanity?

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoOn what basis does the atheist judge the natural world to be horribly wrong, unfair, and unjust?
I read this question in a book and I'm honestly curious by what measure or standard does an atheist use to judge wickedness and injustice in the world. How does an atheist explain suffering in the world?
