Hi! I am searching for a Blu-Ray player for a Father's Day gift and would like a little help please! It is a gift and I want to make sure it's a good one. :)

For starters...

*We have never owned a Blu-Ray before only VHS and DVD players.

*We have laptops and desktop computers in the house so we would NOT need the player to play Netflix, log on to Facebook etc. Only for the machine to play all the stuff on the Blu-Ray DVD disks.

*We cannot stand long load up times and I heard more then a few Blu-Rays don't work right away.

*I heard some Blu-Rays DVD lock ie put a DVD in and wave goodbye since you will never get it back out. I really don't want that to happen...we like our DVDS.

*I don't get paid much for all the work I do in retail so price is a HUGE issue. $80 and under maybe?

*New...definitely new...Dad deserves it! :D

Definite help is needed I am getting lost with each and every web search and product review that I read!

Year 3! That's how long I've been enjoying challenging myself by carving elaborate pumpkins. :)

I take the images I like from different cartoon shows and enlarge them as much as I can which I tape to the pumpkins and thumbtack to give me my patterns. :) I do this for fun and I give credit to the shows when I post the finished pumpkins online.

Usually I can use my printer to enlarge the picture to my liking...the picture has to be LARGE to be able to use for the pumpkins. If it's not it doesn't turn out right..

This year though different printer..different rules.

Help would be very helpful!

Just a random thought I had...I like to story write for fun, but I don't know anything about helicopters and was curious. :)

Okay the girl character has black hair with heavy turquoise blue highlights and the guy has a green mohawk. If they were to accidentally switch hair dye bottles what would happen? Would her hair become more bluish or something? what about the guy?

And the third character has dyed blonde hair with brown roots. If her hair dye sits longer then it's supposed to does her hair turn white or?

Again I'm story writing so any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to be carving FOUR pumpkins this year but I need a good blowup picture of a screen shot to use as my base. I found a screen image I LOVE on youtube that is unbelievably hard to freeze at the right moment but I did it..FINALLY.

Noow I need to figure out how to capture it as a picture so I can print it out. When I right click I see report playback issue, copy embed html, play back etc. etc.

I want to copy the video image as a picture! Please help!

I discovered a convention I wanted to check out is in Toronto Canada in August. I live in Illinois. I can't stand driving on the expressways and I was originally planning to take a train to visit my cousins in New Jersey.

Now I would like to not only visit them, but to go to Canada as well. (And yes HAVE passport and age 29.)

I'm curious if there is there a train I can take that will go from Illinois to Canada and if so how do I find them?

Or would you recommend something else?

I love to story write! And in my latest self imposed challenge I have characters from CANADA visiting Pen Pals...In fact a different area each chapter So far the majority have been from the USA...

For example One is from Boston Mass, Another Oklahoma, California and so forth! But these constant zone changes are making my head spin!

From Canada...umm..Toronto and Ontario I need to start and from there I go on to the different states.

I vaguely guessed at Boston and New York...now I have Oklahoma only this time I have to be right otherwise it messes up my story.

So when the characters travel from Canada to Oklahoma is it a 3 hr difference? 4? Morning? Night?

One of the fanfiction characters I write about knows 8 different languages and is homeschooled. He forgets something important and he calls himself stupid several times out loud for forgetting. Much to the other campers confusion.

I already know Baka is the word for Japanese, but I would like a few more.

Lately it seems that more and more things are upsetting me. My drawer being short money at work, the dread of the doctor, blood and needles...more and more It seems to be getting worse.

The latest one was I just took some advil to get rid of a headache and I just started to drift off for a nap when a horrified thought hit me. I just came from the store, touched laundry detergent and screwed the cap back on and I couldn't remember if I washed my hands or not BEFORE taking the advil with a glass of milk.

And not remembering is once again starting to freak me out.

Any ideas how I can calm down the oh no this is the worst thing that could happen to me thoughts? They are really starting to effect me on a daily basis.

Again for my story. I have a character having a dress made for her by a dressmaker before she leaves town. I need to know how long it takes for that type of dress to be made.

Working on my story. One of the characters speaks French and I want to have him ask the elder what he wishes to drink, comment on a wonderful wedding, what just happened?, no idea., and finally when the bride and groom shall get there.

Since I know little to no French I would very much appreciate it if I had both an English and French translation.
