I live in NY state. I have a month to month agreement with my landlords. They put a note on my door about 2 weeks ago stating that the rent for the next month was going to increase by $50. I was wondering if they could increase it by that much? I was also wondering if they had to give me a 30 day notice of this increase? (It was not 30 day notice for the rent increase)

I changed the password to my ex's e-mail accounts between the time of April and May. I just got charged with unauthorized use of a computer August 2. Does anyone know the penalty for the charge?

I got arrested a few weeks ago for computer tampering in the 4th degree which is a misdemeanor. I appeared in court on the day and time I was supposed to but the judge didn't have any record of it. He copied my appearance ticket and wrote down my phone number and said that he'll look into it and if I don't hear from him then don't worry about it. I was arrested by the State Troopers and the judge said they are pretty good at getting them the cases. The computer tampering charge is pretty bogus and the state trooper thought so also. What do you think happened? Isn't there a law or something saying that if the judge doesn't have the info the case should be thrown out?

Is it possible to pass an ETG test for alcohol 36 hours or after drinking alot? I've been drinking tons of water and when I took the test my urine was clear and the lady said she's not sure that the lab will except it because of the color but she'll try.

I've been on probation since August of 2005. This is my 3rd time that I was caught drinking. I tend to relapse around January and it's only that month I relapse. Also when I relapse I drink about 3 times out of the month. My probation officer wants me to go to inpatient for 28 days. I talked to one counsler and they said I wasn't criteria for inpatient so now my probation officer wants me to go through the crisis center. The crisis center can hold me up to 14 days. After entering the crisis center and they discharge me saying that I just need outpatient treatment does my PO have to except that or can she make me go to another facility?

I'm on probation and I got caught drinking, now my PO wants me to go to an 28 day rehab- inpatient. The rehab lady said I might not qualify for inpatient because it was only a few times I was drinking. I told my PO and she said she would call FLACRA but the only problem with that is My landlord works there so it's a conflict of interest. Yes I need help but I don't think an inpatient program will benefit me. I'm a single mother. What do you guys think? My PO is pretty fair and she doen't want to throw me in jail, she wants me to get help. I also have been to outpatient 2 times before but I was only going once a week.

Well he turned me into probation for drinking and I was caught drinking because this is my 2nd time being caught she wants me to go to inpatient program. Do you think there is away to convince my probation officer of an intense outpatient program? I'm a single mother and don't want her to stay with her father because he fills her head with lies and tells her things that a 9 year old shouldn't know.

I took an ETG test for probation on Monday the 5th at 5pm. It is now Monday the 12th, should the test of been back by now? They are only shipping it about 2 hours away.

I had an ETG alcohol tes done last Monday at 5pm. I was wondering how long should the results take when the test is shipped to the same state and you can get the results email or fax. It's been a week now.

I drank about 20 beers on Friday between the hours of 1pm and midnight. I had to take an ETG test Monday around 5pm. I also drank tons of water. What are the chances od passing? Please no rude comments.

How do you know for sure that I won't pass it says up to 80 hours. It was 65 hours.

I drank on Friday stopped at midnight. Drank lots of water Sunday and Monday. Tested Monday around 5pm. Will I pass an ETG test?
