By helping struggling homeowners, the government is interfering with market forces. This kind of actions would keep the home value high and it is unfair to first time home buyers!

If people think that a price cap on home prices was a bad idea before the housing market melt down (one of my previous question), why is it okay now for the government to aid home owners who can't make their mortgage payments? So, how is it fair for the hardworking people who can't never save enough money to buy a house where they want to live (desirable areas)?

Massive fraud were committed in the real estate industry during the boom, but very few went to jail. There were a lot of stories how real estate agents, brokers, lenders falsifies documents to get loans, etc. Overall, very few people got prosecuted and went to jail.

I want to upgrade my Fujitsu N6210 Notebook that has 512MB PC4200 memory with 2GB of PC5300 memory. Is it safe to use this memory? Will it damage my notebook because of the different speed and power?

This game takes a lot of time to search for items in order to finish the "quests". I like to play this game, but sometimes it gets boring searching and searching for an item, such as the keys to open the temples.

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium, but it feels so much like Fedora 6 and SuSE Linux. And the worst part of it, almost all the older Windows XP to Win98 softwares are not compatiable, can't use my Nero 6 to burn anything. That's a bummer!

Video games such as Half Life, Halo, Doom3, or Call of Duty make me feel like throwing up after playing for about 15 to 20 minutes. I think that the reason is that "looking" through the character's eyes moving around in the video games makes me feel this way. Do you have similar experiences? I am shopping for a new computer, but not sure if I should get the Pentium D or the dual core system. Obviously, one big difference between these two systems is the price. Assume all the other components (memory, video card, etc.) are equal, what is the major difference between these two processors?

After updating from WMP 10 to WMP 11, it can't detect a blank CD-R in the drive. Never had this problem with WMP 10 before.

I used Checkfree to pay for an order on Tigerdirect.com and it was a nightmare. When I cancelled the order, it took forever for Tigerdirect to refund my money and Checkfree won't do anything about it. It took Tigerdirect two days to get my money, but they still have not refunded my money for more than 3 weeks! Are you have having this similar problem too? If so, how did you resolve this problem and how long did it take?

The Netscape browser 8.1 seems to have everything that I wanted in a browser, but it's slower than the other browers. Is it the security settings or the mult-tabs in Netscape that's causing the browser to run slow? How do you make it to run faster?

When I bought a 7" portable DVD player, they charged me $6 for the Cal E-waste fee. Isn't this just another form of luxury tax? Is California the only state that force this unfair tax on its consumers? Where does this money go? What's the purpose for this tax? At first, I thought that it was somekind of recycling fee, but who was doing the recycling?

How many times you saw something on sale and you wanted to go buy it. But when you got there, it was out of stock most of the times. It was a waste of time and money, especially gas cost so much these days.

Hollywood Videos start charging 25 cents per movie (optional scratch guard protection) for scratched DVD disc. This new terrible idea is suppose to protect you from paying the full price of the movie if it should get scratched real bad and not functional any more. At what point is the disc really scratched?? This new fees really sucks and will scare away more customers.

I went Hollywood Videos because Block buster was very bad in manageing their inventory. Those lazy Block Buster workers never bother to scan your returned videos when you give it to them. Few weeks later, they would send you a postcard saying that you have not returned the videos.

I guess that I have to stop doing business with both of them and get Direct TV or cable.

I've bought three ECS motherboards at different times to built my own computer. I didn't have any problems with the first, but the second and third, they were DOA (Dead on Arrival). Is it just me or this also happens to a lot of you out?
