it involves writing equations from a function table. Here is the problem

x: 12 , 10, 8 , 6, 4, 2

y: 18 , 20, 22, 24, 26, 28

so the equation should show that when x is 12, y is 18 and when x is 10 , y is 20 and so on. I cannot seem to get the formula for the equation on this. HELP!

This is what I came up with ( -3 divided by 8) Is that right?

I am trying to help my daughter with some questions concerning tossing of coins. My father is disagreeing with me. Here is the questions:

A coin is tossed 3 times-

1) how many outcomes are there? We both say 6

2) What is the probability of the coin landing heads up 3 times?( I say 50% or 1/2 and my father says its 1/8)

3) What is the probability of the coin landing heads up twice and tails once? ( Once again I say its 1/2 but he says no)

My theory is that a coin only has 2 sides and no matter how many times in a row it comes up tails...you would still only have a 1/2 or 50% chance of it being tails on the next toss!!

My daughter has a math problem(Simplfy 26 - 0.7). I said to just subtract 0.7 from 26 which would be 25.3 but she says that is not how to do it but she can't remember what they did in class. Can anyone help settle this? What else could you do? Thanks!

Does anyone know why the episode of Jump Street called BLACKOUT would have been considered controversial?

I have a SONY model KP-53HS10 rear projection tv. The problem is that the images on the screen will have a green or bright pink "ghost" around them. Its also pretty blurry. I would describe it as looking like something that is suppose to be in 3D but you are looking at it without the 3D glasses. Any ideas on what is wrong and what I can do besides call in a tech? Thanks!
