I live in a very small rural town in West Virginia. I had some church members talking about a tradition they did when they were young. "Going-beddin'" is what I think they called it. They said they would dress up and knock on the towns peoples doors. It sounded a lot like "trick-or-treating" but I think they said it was done at the New year.

Has anyone ever heard of this practice and can you give me some more information? I did a google search and the Internet didn't have any information.

I have about 6 gb of music mp3 files on my computer. I would like to clean up my computer and get it all (or almost all) off my computer. I don't want to loose my music though.

I also don't want to have to burn all this music onto cd's to store.

Will a memory stick (or two) be a good way to store this music for later retrieval?

Do you know of any other options for storage if a memory stick won't work?

and what were the works these prophets did that they THOUGHT would earn them a place in heaven?

If you think the denomination can house both beliefs, what about andindividual congragation?

Can one congregation hold to both views and still be united?

The Arminian view of salvation is that all men have the ability to turn to Christ. This turning to Christ is not considered a work of the flesh. All men have this opportunity.

The Calvinistic view of salvation is that no man can turn to Christ unless God reveals Himself. No man can come to Christ unless God does a work. God doesn't do this with everyone and all men do not have equal opportunity.

She is in a messy situation with her marriage. Anyway, I would have this child in my care for 3 months straight. Would this be considered a Foster Care situation? Am I allowed to take on this responsibility without the court system involved? She just wants me to take her daughter until she gets herself on her feet.

I'm a Protestant. In order for my church to serve my community by saving babies, we have to unite with the Catholic church because Protestants don't seem to be doing much on this issue.

Many verses like ......"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." is NOT what many of you think.

That verse was written to a church that has two or three people that need to address a problem in the church. Jesus promises to be with the group that has to confront the person causing a problem.

.' 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. 18 "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

Can you list some other frequently misunderstood scriptures?

Most of my class is off at camp. I may have one student tomorrow. I'm not sure what to do yet.

I'm going through Proverbs normally, but I should do something else because the rest of my class will be back next week.

all season long. Recently a male Ruby throated hummingbird has started coming...and she dive bombs him every time he comes around. I have heard that the males are territorial...but are the females also?
