From what I've read, the touch does not have a GPS receiver. So how does it work? How does the iPod know your route? Also, how does it know your pace - does it use the foot sensor? Or does it use an accelerometer in the ipod to try to measure distance traveled?

It happens more on my pots and pans then on cups or plates. The residue does not wash off easily. I have hard water and no water softener, but there was never a problem before a week ago. This problem came up very suddenly. I have tried two different brands of soap and the problem persists. Is there something wrong with my dish washer? Also, what is the solution - how can I prevent the dishwasher from causing this problem?

For example, look in Google maps or yahoo maps at the Uinta Mountains in Utah and you will notice that many of the lakes exhibit bright colors (turquoise, aqua-marine, light blue, even some bright browns). As far as I know, there are not any glaciers in these mountains, to create "glacial flour" like in many of the lakes in Glacier National Park, or the Wind River range. I don't remember what channel it was, because I was traveling on business. But it featured a professional business consultant man and a woman (I don't remember what her career was) and they were helping a 21 year old kid who was working as a line chef in a restaurant in NYC - he was trying to get a raise from his boss. It was a one hour show. The kid tried out to be a hockey coach and also got a job offer from another restaurant in NYC and then he asked again for a raise and his boss settled on 13.00 per hour. Does anyone know what show that was? Thanks!

I want to be able to tell people where they can find a page/website that contains links to all of my different web profiles, since I have about a dozen. Right now, most sites that I'm on allow only one link.

I ask because I used to see that icon, but now it has changed to a small white box with a red diamond in it - and I want it to return to how it was (as stated in my question). Please help me return Firefox to it's previous setting. What should I do?

A coworker and I debated my question. His argument was that there has been a recent surge in giardia cases (in the last 20 years or so) because the number of hikers and such as increased a lot in that time and THEY have spread the organism around in the wilderness. I posited that it can be spread by human feces, but that it is far more likely that people are contracting it from animal sources than from human sources. What do you think? Also, do you know of an authoritative place I can go to for more information along these lines?
