  • Looking for a movie about sea monsters...?

I saw a movie that is only five or ten years old. I forget the name of that movie and that is what I am looking for. Was it a tv series? I don't know for sure. The last episode it looked like the sea monsters were practically taking over the world. How could the series continue?

Supposedly, researchers create a sea monster that adopts very easily, but usually likes the sea and often seen near volcanic activity. It likes warm water. It eats all kind of creatures including humans. It keeps eating, eating, reproducing, going on land and eventually it seems the whole world will be devoured.

There is a lady scientist who keeps looking for evidence of this sea creature to prove it to the public through the public media. Few believe her and there are efforts by some secret organization to stop her from making the evidence public.

Would anyone happen to know the name of this movie or tv show?

    Thanks!

  • Trying to remember a movie's name...?

In this movie which is supposed to be before or around 1900, a lady decides she is going to dress like a man and try to convince everyone that she is a man. She looks too good and too feminine to be doing this, but she gets away with it anyway. She cuts her face to give herself a scar so she can look more like a man. She keeps to herself until she helps an oriental man that is being abused. She takes this oriental man in and for a while tries to convince him that she is actually a man. Eventually, her disguise breaks down and there is this big love-making scene. Also, while all of this is going on there is a pioneer family nearby with kids and a whole family. The family is really nice, but in course some outlaws murder the whole family. The lady who was pretending to be a man vowed revenge and justice, learned to shoot straight, and then she hunted the outlaws down and killed them all. In the end of the movie she dies probably from the bad water and the town's people finally find out she is actually a woman. The put her dead body on a horse to take pictures of her. Does anyone happen to know the name of this movie? Thanks!

  • Trying to remember a Bruce Willis movie?

There was a Bruce Willis movie where Bruce Willis plays a man who starts thinking he has some super powers. In one scene his so thinks he has super powers and pulls out a loaded gun and points it at him. His son says if he has super powers he can shoot a bullet at him and he won't get hurt. Somehow they get the gun away from the boy. In another scene Bruce Willis is fighting with a kidnapper who is a big tough guy and I think he is also apparently white. In this episode Bruce Willis falls into a pool and is drowning. Some of the kidnap victims help him out of the pool. In another episode Bruce Willis meets an African American man who is supposed to be the "Ice Man". I think that was his nickname. This "Ice Man" was also secretly involved in bombings of public place.

I wanted to add this movie to the movies I watched on my facebook account. If you happen to know the name please let me know. Thanks!

  • Quest.: "There r 2 concerns in material existence: following rules and regulation & 2ndly, spontaneity."?

"There are two concerns in material existence: following rules and regulation and secondly, spontaneity." May we establish this statement as a maxim for all time and all peoples?

As human beings we could conceivably create a list of rules and regulations for anything we try to do. We are assuming that most would agree with this. Therefore, the first concern is following rules and regulations whether for material goals or spiritual goals. We would follow rules and regulations to eventually achieve a level of spontaneity whether material or spiritual.

(For instance, we go through rules and regulations in a college course. We eventually graduate and land a job. We then proceed to achieve expertise in our job. In other words, we have achieved a level or plateau of spontaneity (also, "expertise") in our job. This understanding could also be applied to spiritual achievements.)

(Note: The term "Spiritual", here, would refer to the realm of the eternal. This is theorized by agnostics and a matter of faith for theistic believers. )

In consideration of "Spirituality" we can at least theorize another proposition. As we rise to higher and higher plateaus of enlightenment, the more we will act spontaneously without the need for consideration of rules and regulations that could be listed in some kind of paper or book. Therefore, spontaneity is the secondary concern.

So, throughout existence, and throughout all time, we are either following rules and regulations or we are acting spontaneously.

  • I've gone to church. What more can we expect from God?

I've gone to church. I've said my prayers.

What more can we expect from God to do any

    more than this?

Is there any religion that does not have this understanding? Is there anything more that is worth having that can be derived from more involvement with God?

It doesn't matter the religion. The religion could be Islam, Buddhism, Hindu, Jewish, Christian, or whatever. If it is a religion that believes in a one Supreme God, then the above questions would apply? Did I overlook anything?

You could say church, temple, shrine, mosque or whatever. But, I am specifically referring to once a week or a few times a week we say prayers and attend a religious service of some kind. After that we may do so many things other than prayer. Some faith groups allow more deviation from God and other less.

For instance, some faith groups permit meat-eating while other faith groups ask all true-believers to never eat meat. Some may say eat meat in moderation. ................
