I'm looking to study abroad next year in Australia. But I've never even visited so I need someone who lives in Australia or knows about the universities in Australia to help me decide what college I should look into.

My computer: Samsung NC10: 160GB HD, 2GB RAM, 1.6Ghz Processor.

Runs extremely fast (came with the entire adobe master collection). However, the hard drive is partitioned into a C and D drive. Each has 80GB and I can't figure out how to "un-partition" it. So I would like to install linux on the D drive.

1. What OS should I use (i'm thinking open suse).

2. What's the easiest way to go about doing this? I need tutorials (a video would be awesome), forums, anything helpful.

3. Is there a way to repartition the hard drive so the D drive is only 25 GB or so? (If I choose not to go the multi boot route)

BTW I was a mac person before this computer.... so yeah.... I need the simplified version.

I'm looking to buy a brand new car. And I have a lot of questions.

1) Should I buy it from the internet or should buy it through a dealer. Which would be cheaper or more helpful.

2) Should I buy a car that's been sitting on the lot or should I have it shipped from the factory. Which would be cheaper and by how much?

I know what car I want (year, make and model). Is there a way to figure out the actual cost of the car before you buy it? or do you really need a dealer for that? I tried the official site and it gave me a number, how accurate is it? I know the site didn't calculate the sales tax. And if I do get a quote from a dealer how accurate are those?

This is my first brand new car experience. I'm a little stressed (it's good stress), so I need ALL the help I can get. Please give me any advice you have big or small. Any valuable sites?

I have a bat signed by A-Rod. I got it in 2001, I won a raffle at boy scouts. Our scout leader was good friends w/ the Yankees and was able to get merchandise for raffles. The bat is a flame tempered louisville slugger. It has A-Rod's name engraved in the bat and he signed it with a sharpie below the engraved MLB logo. It say's genuine right on the bat, but that doesn't prove that he signed it.

I really couldn't care less about it, but I know that he is considered to be one of the best. So I want to get a certificate of authenticity so that when I do sell it, it'll get me more money.

So where do I get one and how?

Also how should I store (take care of) this thing? I put it on a shelf in my closet and it looks like part of the MLB logo is fading away.

I was born in the 90's and I remember Fila was like todays Puma (in Germany, not sure about the US). What ever happened to it? Did it just fade out or is Fila focusing on something other than clothing? Would you wear Fila?

Well the problem is that I can't find the one that I want. I either want one that has the orlando magic logo on it (yes I already checked the NBA store). Or I want one that says Serbia on it or the Serbian flag on it. I tried ebay and found nothing.

I looked on ebay, almost every place where you can do online shopping and even the FIBA storeb & can't find anything.

I'm helping a Family member buy a computer. They want a Mac... anyways whenever you buy a mac there is a big chance that you get a free iPod for free (4GB Nano usually) with mail in rebate. Well they couldn't care less for iPods and are willing to give it to me if I help them shop for the mac.

Well heres the problem I already have an iPod and really don't need another. What I want to do is sell it to get $ to help them pay for the computer or new software (like Microsoft office). The problem with that is:

1) I don't know where to sell it, NOT USING EBAY

2) You have to cut out the proof of purchase to recieve the rebate. In order to do that you have to take off the shrink wrap and it won't be considered New in box (someone may think that I tampered with it or something).

So is there a way to get the mail in rebate without cutting out the Bar code? (maybe scan it or something)

And where could I sell it for the best price (I'm willing to give up like 10% of the original price)?

Can we view our own IP/ISP address and how??

Someone is selling "valuable" Runscape items on ebay. There are 22 bids on it and 2 days left in the auction. The current bid is $15,100 it will probably grow. But why would anyone buy this??Everyone knows that one day Runescape won't be as popular as it is today so why would you spend 15,000$ on Imaginary masks, hammers and swords???

OK I know what an IP address is so please don't give me links or explain what it is. My question is if you create a new account onto your computer will it have a different IP adress. You know how you can have several different accounts on your computer, does each one have a different IP address?

My old computer is slow, very slow. It's a costum built computer (made by CompUSA) designed for Windows 95. However when I bought it, it had Windows 98 installed on it. It has a:

4Mhz Intel Celeron Processor.

48MB memory (I may have installed more memory on it)

4.3 GB harddrive

56k Modem

Well I want to delete everything from the computer and install Linux. However because the computer is so old and slow I have no Idea how to connect it to the internet.

Should I install Linux on my old computer? If yes can I download the software onto my current computer, burn it to a disc and then install it on the Windows (blank CD or a DVD)?

If I shouldn't install Linux how do I delete all the data on my old computer without getting rid of windows 98? I want to clear everything from the computer except for the applications that originally came with it.

Where should I start? Is there a guid that I could follow?

I'm thinking about buying a PSP. I saw some new ones for around 130$ on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-PSP-1001-98507-Portable-P... However since the PSP is so old I'm worried about Sony coming out with a new portable system. I know that their coming out with the PS3 but I couldn't care less (I want a portable system). So my questions is: Is sony going to come out with a new portable system, and when? Also is it a good idea to buy it from eBay?

I don't want to send itto myself, I want to do it without spending money. I have a Motorola V325 a USB cable and a Mac OS X. When I connect the phone to my Mac nothing happens or pops up (the battery charges though, so I know I have the right cable). I figured out I need some software or a USB driver for my mobile. I can find USB drivers but they are all for windows. Dose anyone know what software I can use (mac compatible) or another way of getting the pics onto my phone without sending it to myself. My phone doesn't have a memory card/slot (or at least I don't think it dose). PLEASE HELP

When I say BEST I mean HIGH paying (not $5 hr picking weeds), low stress, easy, and most importantly enjoyable. I am 15 and Im thinking of getting more money for collage. I really don't wanna make the money online. I need ideas, like what did you do to earn money for collage. My grades are good (95 average) but the school is ranked like lowest in the state (because of graduation rate n stuff like that) so getting scholarships is going to be hard (my sister was a foreign exchange student like 100 average and she got two scolarships both like 1grand, but to a really good collage) So I decided to find ways to earn money. So far the best way I found was to work in a grocery store that matches your earnings in a scholarship (I did the math and it would be a little more than 3grand), or a waiter at an expensive resteraunt (Red Lobster), where the tips would make up for the scholarship (and I know the salar is below min. wage at restaurants). What do you think the smartest choice would be?

First I know it was a crappy draft but do you think that the Magic should have taken Marcus Williams instead of J.J. Redick? I wasn't expecting Marcus Williams to drop down to number 22 and thought the Magic should take Redick. However after I saw that Marcus went at 22 i was confused...... so should the Magic have taken Marcus Williams instead of J.J. Redick?

And on a side note, the Magic will be AMAZING this year.
