There are 4 men buried up to their necks in the ground (diagram above). They cannot move so can only look forward. Between A and B is a brick wall which cannot be seen through. They all know that between them they are wearing 4 hats, 2 x black (b) and 2 x white (w), but they do not know what colour they are wearing. In order to avoid being shot one of them must call out to the executioner the colour of their hat. If they get it wrong, everyone will be shot. They are not allowed to talk to each other and have 10 minutes to fathom it out.

After 1 minute, one of them calls out.

Question: Which one of them calls out?

Question: Why is he 100% certain of the colour of his hat?

This is not a trick question. There are no outside influences nor other ways of communicating. They cannot move and are buried in a straight line. So A & B can only see their respective sides of the wall, C can see B, and D can see B & C

I planted a garlic bulb that was so old it had sprouted. Will it actually grow garlic? If so what do I do? How do I take care of it? Does the garlic grow under the dirt? I am clueless about garlic, well except cooking with it. Now that I can do.

I had severe endometriosis for years and got a hysterectomy (they took everything) when I was 25 (ten years ago). However, for the past few years I have been having moderate to severe cramps, getting worse all the time. I even told my friend I felt like I was going to start my period. I just read that hysterectomies don't necessarily cure endometriosis, especially if your doc leaves some in you when you have your hysterectomy, which mine did. It makes sense to me that it would take this long for my cramps to become severe again, as the disease would need time to grow. Has anyone had this same experience, or similar? I am really stressed about it. Especially since I heard that it is not only possible but common. My hysterectomy was totally worth it to me because my pain and hormone imbalance was so severe. But now that I am in pain again, I just don't know. I am a little scared because I don't want to go through this again. Even though I already have been for a few years. Wow, does this even make sense???

When I wear my hair down within an hour, and that's being generous, the whole underside of my hair will be in one huge knot, I am serious, all of it is in there. No exaggeration at all!

I have been to a lot of salons to find out why. This is a brand new thing for me. I have very fine, really thick hair. Last time I got it cut I got it thinned out so that maybe that would help...nope! The lady cutting told me to get a good leave in conditioner and put a lot of it where I get the knot. So I tried. I tried all the really high end products and nothing! The other day I actually thought I would have to cut it off because the entire back of my hair was in this knot, even the top parts! It took over an hour and 1/2 a bottle of detangler to get it out.

This is getting really frustrating and damaging my hair really bad! Please, please does anyone have any suggestions at all? I braid it before bed so I don't wake up with this huge nest on my head! It's a mystery! Uuugghh!

Why is it that I boil my eggs using the exact same method every time and sometimes they peel perfectly and sometimes all of my white peels off with he shell? It seems if my method doesn't change the outcome should stay the same...wouldn't ya think???

I really want to adopt a baby. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do to prepare, to better my chances, before I begin the process? Is it easier to adopt a foreign baby? Last part of the question is...If I have foster kids is that going to be a bad thing or a good thing. See I want foster kids, but will that be looked down upon because there is a risk involved if you have foster kids.

I quit for ten years after smoking for twelve years. I started again about a year ago and I want to quit. The problem is that I don't have a strong desire. I remember how great I felt not smoking, I liked it a lot better. I still don't really have a strong desire to stop. Any suggestions???
