Why do people expect their gods wll save them?
Stop seeking a savior and be your own hero; save yourself! Most issues don't need a god to fix them, they need determined people. Stop complaining and fix it yourself.

3 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoIf everything in existence must be created, how could there be a beginning?
As far as most humans are concerned, there is a reason or, at very least, a method for the creation of everything. For instance, God creates the Universe. What created God? On the flip side, the Big Bang creates the universe, and energy creates that big bang. What created that energy?
How can you presume that everything has a creation if the initial creation wasn't created by something else? What you end up with is a paradoxical loop which results in one and only one possibility: eternal existence of "something." Whether that mean the creator of the creator of the creator and so on, or that there has been the eternal existence of a single creator.
On top of this, consider the situation of God. Perhaps he sat in darkness for an infinite time before considering the creation of his playthings, all things in the universe. To me, that seems like a poor state of existence.
Time is meaningless, sure, but does that not mean that something is infinite and therefore not created?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre you in love with a cartoon character?
I have a female friend who has pictures of Stan from American Dad plastered all over her apartment. When I asked her about them, she turned a bit red and said "he's just really hot." I've never thought of cartoon characters as attractive but apparently some do. Are you taken by any toons?
2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat would you think if there were no incorrect answer to religion?
What I mean is this: A person's life is based upon their own beliefs. That's not to say every mundane belief has meaning, but the most powerful beliefs are the ones that run their lives. Under certain circumstances, the human mind can manifest that belief as a pure reality for that individual, which may in turn be considered insane by another individual's point of view. If we apply this same principle to religions, we get that everyone is correct for themselves. Christians fabricate their own heaven and hell, Atheists cease to be upon death, Buddhists are reincarnated, and so on. Is the concept really so ridiculous, or do you think it may have some merit?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat, if any, would be the consequences of using antimatter for the creation of energy?
I don't know how many are familiar with this, but antimatter is no longer just science fiction. It is indeed a real product of circumstantial lab tests. For the fact that anti-matter is the complete opposite charge of matter as we know it, meaning the negative charge is in the nucleus, it produces an effect of pure energy. It was once believed it was impossible to have a 100% efficiency rate, but anti-matter has torn down that theory, for it is perfectly efficient. The only questions, however: what is the downside to using antimatter? Will it be harmful to our planet? Will it be a controllable source?

I'd say a wolf. A strong, wild pack animal with sensibility and confidence. Unfortunately, also vastly misunderstood.

12 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoIf evidence ever arose that Jesus was actually a follower of a different God than the one you think...?
how would that affect your beliefs of religion? This is a hypothetical question of course, so assume the statement were true, and the evidence was real and fairly well backed.
So, we'll assume for these purposes that the god Jesus followed wasn't the one you read about in the bible, but perhaps a second god altogether.
Would you be able to adapt your beliefs or would you deny that evidence's relevance?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat would you say is the one quality you possess that you would change if you knew how?
I have a lack of motivation and that sometimes makes me procrastinate, or just get plain lazy. I've been working on it, but it's not progressing very well.
1 AnswerPolls & Surveys1 decade agoCan we possibly get more people starving for attention?
Yes, you post your pics and ask what people think. You may pretend it's all in fun, but reality is that you are after the attention. You want to be reassured that you aren't ugly. I hate to break it to you, but if your confidence is so low, why are you plastering your pics all over the internet? Or even worse, if you do it because you're so stuck on yourself, the answer will always be yes, you are ugly. No matter what your purpose is, you don't have a personality that I would consider attractive. A lack or excess of confidence is never a pretty sight. This hereby ends the rant...thank you for reading. Goodnight.
15 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style1 decade agoIn a few months I will become a translator and I will receive free training. What language should I choose?
I can learn any language that is used at least countrywide. That means no native tongues (i.e. Aborigine, Cherokee, etc.) Also, I already obviously speak English, so that's not an option.
7 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhy do people on Yahoo Answers ask questions regarding their physical appearance?
I see plenty of weight questions like "am I fat?, "am I too skinny?" or "how much should I weigh?" which could be determined by typing something such as "ideal weight chart" into Google. There are also "am I pretty?" and "am I ugly?" questions. Do they get the satisfaction of being the center of attention for a moment? are they just that self-conscious, lacking self-esteem...what is it?
16 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWould you dunk your head in a pot of boiling water for the duration of 10 seconds if it meant your atonement?
This is obviously a circumstantial question. Assuming you were a good Christian, doing your part for society, but had inadvertently committed manslaughter with your car (purely accidental), would you be willing to stick your head in a pot of boiling water for 10 seconds in order to cleanse yourself of that accidental sin?
(That of course assumes that it is the only option for atonement. Therefore, an answer such as "that's not how it works" is not applicable.)

6 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIf God is all omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, why does he have any form at all?
For years I have held my own personal beliefs in the spiritual sense. I merely wish to know why all present day forms of God seem to be humanoid. I feel it would make more sense for God(s) to be completely void of figure. A single form at all would be limiting to its extent, and therefore absent of omnipresence. As it were, any form is imperfect for the fact it is a formation, and therefore created by some means. For God(s) to truly be void of that paradox, they would be merely energy. Perhaps that energy can manifest itself to some degree so that it interfaces better, but to be humanoid means there must be an origin of form.
For that reason, the idea that we are designed to mirror even remotely the appearance of god seems irrevocably self-righteous to an extent of arrogance within our own existence.
Does my concept crush the concept of any religion? It surely does not. It would merely require a slight adaptation of "knowledge."
I may be wrong, but then again, I could be correct.
