I have been a Missouri resident for sixteen years. I am considering accepting a job offer in Iowa. I own a house in Missouri and my family will likely stay behind for this school year. I will move to Iowa and start working.

What are the tax ramifications of this? Will I have to pay income tax to both Iowa and Missouri? What should I have my employer withhold?

I'm traveling to Chicago and I *love* this stuff. Can't check it as baggage since the baggage compartment in an airplane is unpressurized, and I cannot take it through security.

So...does anyone in Chicago know where I can buy Diet Vernor's?

I just tried to subscribe to AT&T's Premier WiFi service, where one had access to WiFi hotspots (and roaming hotspots) for $19.95 per month. The web site says they are no longer selling it. Does anyone know when this occurred? And why would they buy Wayport, the world's largest hotspot network, only to stop selling it?

I'd really like to hear from middle school teachers and parents on this one. I feel like my middle schooler (6th grade) has an inordinate amount of homework, particularly in math. I'm wondering how much homework is to be reasonably expected at that level. It seems like he has much more than I remember having at that level. I'm not one that wishes to complain, but it seems like we're spending a great deal more of our time on homework than I would expect there to be at this point, so I'm wondering: Are there any established guidelines in this area?

Let me preface this by saying I'm a computer programming geek. I know nothing about cars. Please don't laugh at my ignorance.

I have this older Black and Decker Battery Charger. I want to use it to recharge the battery that doesn't have enough juice to start my 01 Dodge Durango. However, the instructions for the battery charger tell me to set a couple of things I know nothing about.

First, I have to set the "Battery type." My choices are "Wet", "Gel", and "AGM". I have no idea what "battery type" I have. How can I tell?

Second, I have to choose a "voltage." My choices are 2.0, 10.0, and 15.0.

Teach me, oh learned ones. How do I choose? And why do I have to choose these settings? Does the battery charger do something different based on the choices I make?

There used to be a tv commercial where this snowman came inside. He got some product (I can't remember what it was) and after consuming it, the snow on him melted and it was revealed that he was actually a cute little boy who had been playing outside. But he came in from where it was cold, got all warmed up, and then became himself again.

Anyone remember what that commercial was for?

I would like to set the value of a string to the name of the class (found in the top line of the class in the Public Class 'name' line).

What I'm REALLY trying to do is allow a method I'm calling in another class to know which class called it. So, if I'm in Class1, and I'm calling SomeClass.SomeMethod, I'd like to let SomeMethod know that Class1 called it.

Is there a way to accomplish this in Visual Basic?

I'm stumped. I'm trying to do date validation with regular expressions. So far, I haven't found any examples that are complete.

I can articulate the rules, I just can't come up with the correct regular expression. I'm trying to validate against the mm/dd format.

mm can be 0-12, with or without a leading zero ( ^0?[1-9]) | 1[0-2] )

but, depending on what the month is, we want to make sure that we only validate actual date numbers (January, March, May, July, August, October, and December = 31; February = 29; April, June, September, and November = 30).

So I think I have to have three all-encompassing OR statements in my RegEx.

I've been trying to come up with a string that will do this (the days also could have a leading zero or not), and have the RegEx validate ONLY actual dates (4/31, 2/30, 6/00, 14/02 would not validate, but 1/1, 1/11, 1/01, 5/15 would).

Has anyone done this? Surely they have. Surely I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

My employer has just decided to prohibit the downloading of YouTube videos, citing a concern about exposing the computer to viruses. I know that potentially, a web page could execute a malicious script on one's PC, but can the Flash video itself contain a script that could be unknowingly executed? If so, doesn't the same risk exist whether the video is viewed on the YouTube page or if it is downloaded to the local disk?

I'm trying to reverse this policy at my employer, so if you have an article that you can cite somewhere, I'd appreciate it.

I don't really want a loan. I just want to see how many auto-trolls will respond with poor English and obscure web or email links to offers.
