How old do you think a child should be to see a PG rated movie?
My friend let her 4 year old see Star Wars which is rated PG. I am trying to decide whether to let him see Star Wars or not. If we let him see it, Dad or myself would watch it with him. We have generally only let him see G rated movies and PBS kids. No transformers or other violent shows.
8 AnswersParenting1 decade agoHow do you deal with a 4 year old temper tantrum?
When my son does not get his way or I put him in time out, he will hit, scratch, or kick me. Sometimes he will just out of the blue hit me or throw things at me. He acts this way more when he is tired. He is a normal 4 year old and very intelligent and verbal.
10 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade ago4 year old hits, kicks, scratches, and slams doors when he doesn't get his way. Any ideas?
I have tried time out, for him and me, and a spanking on the rear end. Nothing seems to work. He seems to do this more when he is tired, but it also happens if I tell him he may not have something. For example, after nap he asked for some candy. I said 'no' and he could have something else such as crackers, banana, grapes, apple, animal crackers. Then he hit me. He is very verbal and extremely intelligent. He is not ADD or anything like that. He is an only child.

My son is generally a good walker. At home, we have not used the stroller in a long while. We have a connection in Chicago. My son may be tired after being up at 4 am. He gets stubborn when he is cranky. I am traveling alone, so I don't have anyone to help me with him.

4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoParents of young children, when do you have time to try for another?
My husband and I work full time. We used to take time during naptime, but my son's naps are down to about an hour. By the time he is alseep at night, we are ready to crash. We are up at 5am for work. Our parents live out of state, so we can't have them watch our son. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
