  • Can an iomega zip 100 drive be converted to read Zip 250 disks?

I have an old iomega Zip 100 drive and data on both Zip 100 and Zip 250 drives. Is there a way to update the firmware or hardware that will allow the drive to read the 250 disks?

  • Where can I find Drivers for my Samsung m540 (Rant)?

When I connect my Samsung m540 to my PC using the DirectSync Cable that came with it, Windows XP opens the Hardware Wizard and asks me if I have and installation CD (or floppy) where the drivers are stored. This phone did not come with any software and I cannot find anything about the missing drivers on Samsung's web site.

  • Why can't I get my computer to boot?

On Sunday, I was doing some maintanance on my XP computer. I removed the case on the CPU to use an air duster and vacuum to clean up some of the dust on my fans and cables. When I put everything back together and turned on the machine, it initially would not boot. I removed the cover and made sure every thing was still connected properly and the fan and processor were a little loose. After securing that, I was able to start my computer, though I was asked if I wanted to start in safe mode. After it started again, the new hardware wizard found all of my peripherals. It worked normally after that for the rest of the day.

Yesterday, however, it would not start up at all. I have power to the HD, fans, etc., and there are lights lit up on the motherboard indicating to me that everthing is getting power, but I get nothing. My monitor remains black. I've tested the video card & monitor, both working perfectly. Thoughts?????

  • Can gasoline be made from synthetic oil?

Synthetic engine oil has been on the market for years, and it seems to do its job very well - other wise it would no longer be lining the shelves of automotive stores. Is there a reason (beyond political payola) that synthetic oil isn't refined for gasoline?

  • What more can I do to burn fat?

I excercise 5-6 times a week for at least 30 minutes doing a combination of cardio, conditioning and strength training. I also eat a very healthy diet - lean meat, fruits, veggies, not big on sweets and desserts - yet I seem to hover around the same weight, always within 4-5 lbs. In the past I have been able to lose weight, but the dieting made me feel weak and I lost probably 20 pounds from my bench. At this point in my life, I'm not so concerned about what I weigh but with the amount of excess fat that I am carrying, and I'm really frustrated with my lack of results. What more can I do?
