Is there any way to hookup home theater speakers to a TV, without a receiver?
I'm looking for a way to hookup this Blu-ray/VHS player:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B001...
to this TV:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTool...
using external 5.1 speakers.
So the part I need is 5.1 non-bare wire speakers (~$200) that can hookup to this TV or DVD player, or a method/adapter to hookup bare wire speakers to this TV or DVD player. I'm trying to do this without a receiver mainly for space reasons. I need the DVD and TV audio to both be played through the external speakers.
Thanks for any help with this
3 AnswersHome Theater1 decade agoLandlord responsible for vehicle damage due to faulty parking space?
The parking lot at my girlfriend's apartment has those concrete curbs at the end of each parking space (to serve as a tire stop so you don't pass through it I'm guessing). These curbs are bolted to the parking lot with rebarb, however on this parking space the rebarb was sticking out of the concrete curb about 6 inches. When I backed out of the parking space to leave, this rebarb hooked onto the plastic bumper cover of my truck, ripping some of it off.
This happened yesterday (Labor Day) so the landlord wasn't available. I noticed many other parking spaces had the same problem. I took pictures and met with the landlord today. She said they are not responsible to pay for these damages.
Should the apartment complex be responsible for these damages? I live in Louisiana, and tried searching the laws here but I'm not sure what law this would be under, or how to find this specific law. Any help please?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoInterpreting Chinese Culture-Is she interested in me?
Hello, I'm an American male and I'm wondering if this Chinese girl is attracted to me or if it's just her culture.
She just recently arrived in America to study. Ever since she's been here she always sits next to me in class, starts conversations with me (even in awkward times), asks about my personal life, and most importantly, she has been trying to get me to go to lunch with her...even offering to pay.
Now the problem is she has a boyfriend, or some sort of one. One day I was talking to her and asked if she had a boyfriend, she said yes and said she sometimes talks to him over the phone.
I asked her over to my house and she gladly accepted the invitation. I'm not sure where to go from here? Is she interested or just acting in a different culture?
1 AnswerLanguages1 decade agoSparkey Facebook app- Wants to date you?
I got the same notification twice, two different days. (woman's name) is just passing this along: 1 woman wants to date you. You should review your dates on Sparkey.
It came from the same person. What does this mean? That someone was rating people on who they'd want to date?
2 AnswersFacebook1 decade agoMy tooth hurts only when I jump or move my head back and forth quickly. It's not loose at all either.?
Since yesterday 1 tooth on the top right (between my front teeth and side) started hurting when I jump, move my head back and forth, or do any sudden movement that moves my head.
I have no clue what could be causing this, I brush regularly and go to the dentist twice a year. Last month when I went he said nothing was wrong with my teeth either.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I changed nothing in my daily routine.
