do you have the Discovery Channel blocked on your tv?

where in revelations or somewhere else in the bible does it describe this supposed event? Is it just something made up by some preacher ?

It seems pretty clear thats its phony to me, besides who really believes god made plants before he made the sun......

Matthew 21:21:

I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

i understand the mountain moving part is likely metaphoric, but why do prayers to him by true-believers go unanswered? Im sure many true-believers have prayed for world peace or eradication of diseases, and many true-believing amputees have asked for limb regrowth yet it doesnt happen.

There are many other references in the New testament to jesus saying pray and he shall heal you or grant your prayers, he puts no limitations on what you can ask for....

jesus said you should sell off all your possessions and give the money to the poor, yet most christians enjoy a very materialistic life...what gives?

some may say this wasnt god but an angel that jacob wrestled with but Elohim refers to the god of the isrealites many times in the bible, and the name he gives to Jacob (Israel) means "wrestles with God."

So what gives?

in the bible he says he will heal any sick that pray to him (James 5:15) and will grant any prayers you request so why will jesus heal people who had a chance to get better on their own (all the people who claim to be healed by prayer and miracles), but ignore those whos only chance is through jesus (like amputees and other prayers that are unambiguous and can only come true by prayer)?

jesus is very clear in getting the point across that there are no limits to what you can pray for and what he can give you,

you ever see an amputee regrow a limb by praying to jesus?

miraculous cancer dissapearance and things like this are ambiguous because many other things couldve caused the recession (immune system, doctors theraphy, force of will , etc.)

doesnt this technically make you a polytheist? 1.5 (if you say he was only half god) or 2 gods either way its more than one......what do you think?

when the word is meaningless, since saturated means 100% saturation...something is either saturated or it isnt

why do you need health insurance? Or, for that matter, car insurance, life insurance or home owner's insurance? Why are you worrying about your health in the future when: A) Jesus has told you specifically not to worry (Matthew 6:34), and B) Jesus has promised to cure any illness that arises (James 5:15)?

Then why do humans have so many problems resulting from evolution? like due to our evolving smaller mouths (from a more gentler diet over the past few hundred/thousand years) most people need to have their wisdom teeth removed when they reach a certain age. does this smack of perfect design to you?

womens increased knee stress due to evolved larger birth canals and pelvises to accomodate larger brained babies is another example.

maybe as an evolutionary survival mechanism? because the only other irrational thing humans consistently believe in is love (romantic) which i would guess has evolutionary origins too...
