I rescue abused Dogs. I kept 3 that take medicine every day .This is rewarding and keeps me busy. I am physically disabled and in my 60's and have lots of time to care for them. The dogs and I are both damaged, but they don't quit, so I don't . I enjoy the community that is YA. I recently lost my youngest dog to complications of diabetes, so have your dogs tested for this disease. I volunteer at the city animal shelter, and excersize the dogs, you should try it at your shelter, the dogs will love you for that. You get to play with dogs,and they aren't yours, but they give you back more than you can give them. I adopted this dog Sophie a boxer/Pitt mix,and then found out she was on the list to be euthanized that day at closing time. I volunteer there and had the feeling she was not any ones favorite.
