Why do women equate "love" with the physical reaction that occurs when we are with someone for the first...
year to three years after we meet someone we like? There is a change in our brains and chemicals that occur and can be seen through testing during this period of time. Love isn't all there is to a relationship. There is a lot more involved. A choice can be made even when you have that physical reaction and even when you really click with someone on many levels. If there is something that is really wrong, ie, the guy has a record, there is a family history of abuse for him, he wants kids and you don't, etc., etc., etc., women can make a choice to walk away. Yet, due to good old Walt Disney, so many women don't.
What no one tells us about Cinderella and the other princesses is that "happily ever after" looks like have a great honeymoon, having an argument, setting up a wonderful home, having an argument, having a beautiful baby together, him forgetting her birthday, having a lovely second honeymoon, having an argument, but learning to resolve the arguments and communicate well.

My grandmother died four years ago. I lost the recipe she gave me. It used Hershey's syrup in the brownies and then more Hershey's syrup in the frosting. It was a large recipe, sheet cake sized. Anyone have this?
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoA Ten Year Anniversary Renewal of our vows question.?
My husband and I will be having our tenth anniversary in Oct. '08. We have only decided to do this this week. I would love to hear ideas! I have five kids who all love my husband dearly, but it would be difficult to get them all there at the same time. We have seven grandchildren at this time. I want it to be small and intimate. I'd like to get as many of our kids there as we can. I have no idea about a venue or anything else at this point. We live in the Pacific NW/Vancouver, BC area. We were married in Vancouver. Renewing at the original church is a possibility. Should we throw a party after and invite more people? Should we keep it to the small group. Not a lot of money to spend, but we are always able to get a lot of bang for the buck. :)
