  • Best send-off to give my old Accord?

I have a 1989 Accord that has served my family well for over 20 years. It is getting to the point where maintenance is getting expensive - the steering is starting to go and an axle needs replacing, so maybe it's time to put my money on a new car rather than keep fixing this heap.

What I am looking for is a creative way to give my car a good "send off" - maybe even give it a new lease on life, as it were. I had a dream one time that it was a four-legged robot, but finding someone who can turn a car into a robot may not be practical, unless I find some students or hobbyists who can think big. Any other ideas?

  • How do I block spam from a web-based e-mail account?

I have a web-based e-mail that seems to be a spam magnet. I have set the spam filter to the highest level, I have set it up to accept only mail from "white listed" addresses - and STILL I am getting a deluge of spam every day! I have pestered the support for this service many times telling them to do something, but my messages never get any attention. I don't want to close this account, but unless I find a way to squelch the spam, or the people running this service get their doo-doo together, I will!

Does anybody know of some software that works with web-based accounts? I have looked at some anti-spam programs, but they work with only the likes of Outlook and Eudora.

My grandmother needs to find a former tenant who owes her money. We have tried several people-search sites but they have been a waste of time and money.

  • How do I get my cat to stop clawing my Oriental rugs?

I bought my cat a scratching post in hopes that she would use it rather than my lovely Oriental rugs, but I still catch her sharpening her claws on them. I have rubbed her paws on the scratching post and petted her afterwards, but that isn't encouraging her to use it. I can't keep an eye on her 24/7 because I work.

Declawing is out of the question because it's cruel.

  • What is the best community college in the Atlanta area for learning web design?

I would like to get a job doing web design, and thus plan to take a course or three in web design/development - maybe get an associate's degree.

  • Anybody know some good slang terms for "drunk"?

I have a bizarre hobby - I collect slang terms for "intoxicated." The more unusual and exotic the terms, the better! I have all the "standard" ones (sloshed, pickled, trashed, etc.) and enjoy uncovering new ones, especially regional slang.
