Spreadsheet question?
If cell A1 has text of "3x4x5" how can I make cell B1 show "60" by referencing cell A1's text?
I don't want to write a function in B1 like "=Product(3,4,5)" I want excel to convert the text in one cell into numerical operands in another cell. Is this possible?

12 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoWhat does "playing in the hoops" mean?
I know nothing about soccer. I read that a UK player (Phil O'Donnell) died recently during a game. A poster said something about "playing in the hoops"; it may have been derogatory-I'm not sure.
Was he a well known player internationally or just within the UK? Did he have superior skills like Beckham or was he just a good solid player. I'm just trying to get a sense of how great a man and how great a player this guy was as a person and what he meant to the sport of soccer.
2 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)1 decade agoCommon British things???
Hello my limey cousins. I've never made it across the pond so my impression of Britain, for better or worse, is from TV and the movies. I was just wondering:
1. Is it common to hear "cheerio" does it mean hello or goodbye?
2. In an old movie I heard "cheerio pip pip";is that common?
3. Is blood pudding or kidney pie stuff you might eat on a weekly basis?
4. I'm told that you drink coke warm. Don't you ever like it
ice cold???
5. Are you proud to fly the Union Jack
6. Is there any social dischord between the English, Welsh, Scotts, Irish (ie. "I hope no Scottish families move into the neighborhood")
7. Is there popular nostaliga in the over 80 pensioneers for the better aspects of old Imperial Britain?
