If patience is a virtue not the virtue, what are the others?? Why is patience the only one you hear about?

After you send your resume to a potential employer is it appropriate to contact them by phone, or should you wait for them to contact you? I know that responding to job posting off of HotJobs and Monster, they get tons and tons of resumes so how do you avoid being over looked?

Next week I am supposed to go on vacation, as alot of others I planned the vacation around my normal period time. (It was supposed to come yesterday) I planned the vacation for a week afterwards.

HOWEVER, my period isn't here yet...

My doctor recently recommended I start taking birth control pills to prevent ovulation, not neccisarily pregnancy since I've had a tubal ligation, but also a history of ovarian cyst.

My concern is my period being late, which it normally isn't and be still being on it when vacation starts (next wednesday) I'm going to pick up the pills tomorrow, I know you should start the first Sunday after your period however, if my period hasn't started by say Saturday...

Would starting the pills then prevent my period from coming during vacation next week?

I had a thyroid test done and my results came back 21.62. The nurse that called with the results said that 'normal' was .325 - 5.50.

Does my score mean over active or under active and what does that mean??

My employer makes comments about this quite frequently. Most recently he said "you must be a really nice person to keep having all these babies for a guy who doesn't even want to marry you" I don't think this has anything to do with my job or work performance. Is this even legal? Last week he told another employee I was getting really fat.
