As a single woman, I want to use dating as a way of screening for compatibility; but I have discovered some men and women believe the dating process indicates a relationship is in progress. I find it necessary to establish the other person's definition of dating.

I don't want the man to think that because we hang out from time to time that means were are an item.

There may be some character issue or value conflict I may not want to endure for a life time.

I want to give the other person the opportunity to understand, and the opportunity to decide if he still wants to date me without the typical sexual benefits.

Government programs (through non-profit organizations) provide parenting classes, but many people do not believe these agencies have been given enough information to provide adequate training to address the different standards of parental guidance within the ethnic group, and the different standards between each ethnic group.

In Wisconsin, a mother of three cannot get treatment for herself and her children. She called her mom (3/30/07) to let her know she called the non-emergency number to a local fire department and explained what was happening. Someone from the fire department went to the home to inspect the basement and discovered raw sewage and the presence of methane gas. The young mother has gone to a local hospital twice for help for her and her children. She called the poison control center, and searched the Internet and found a note from a man asking the same question---years ago. She could not believe no one responded. She and her children are out of the house, and staying with family. Nothing has been reported about the two older children; but, she and her 1-year old daughter are showing signs of methane gas poisoning.

I've met quite a few people whose names "fit" them. There appeared to be a "chemistry" between the name and the person's character.

I ain't knockin' bad grammar. I use punctuation marks incorrectly---a lot---a whole lot; especially, the semi-colon. I use the word cain't around my friends, I've probably said it around language arts buffs.

It's a tough challenge for young people to excel at English, when they get accused of trying to be proper. Could the use of good grammar at work just be considered a "survival tool?"

I mean, if good communication skills are needed (to at least be in the running for a job) how can that be considered as "selling out" when one knows that friends will not pay the bills for them for "keepin' it real?"

Seeking treatment options for SD

I've been looking in my history books for the place where I read one of the writers of the Constitution was part of a group called the Philosophes.

The philosophes reasoned you did not have to believe in God in order to be morally good, or something like that. Anyway, I was trying to pinpoint whether or not Christianity was the governing religion in that group of writers, or were there other religions represented by the writers of the Constitution.
