I am looking to replace my old Olympus Stylus point and shoot camera (it's just getting old) but my computer doesn't play nice with the mpg or mp4 video formats for editing purposes. (Tried various programs etc) I have read that the ELPH or the Nikon Coolpix have an AVI option, but I can't seem to find any information as to which models are good.

I have a digital Canon DSLR camera, but I'm looking for something in the middle that's a bit better than my cell phone, that I can just throw in my pocket.

I am trying to find the name of the film - basically two teenage girls are orphans (maybe?) in the 1950s/60s northern US. Their crazy aunt comes to take care of them. One girl tries to rebel and fit in with the in-crowd while the other one likes the crazy aunt.

Eventually the aunt and the one girl leave on an adventure - train hoppng and the other girl goes to live with friends to have "normal" life.

It's a very good film and I'd seen it on HBO many times years ago. I can't remember what the name of it is. I think there were a couple of people who have become pretty well known.

I have two new plants I bought - Amazon Palm and Black Magic Elephant Ears. I know they are going to grow tall, but I'm trying to figure out how big of a pot I need. Would a large dish type pot be okay (say about a foot deep) or would a need an urn type deeper pot? I can only find height online... can't seem to find out how extensive the roots are.

I am currently learning Welsh, and I am using some children's books as suppliments. I have several of Mick Inkpen's books and noticed that Kipper became "Ianto" and Tiger became "Max". Was there a reason for it? They're names so they should have stayed the same. I dont mind.. I love saying the name "Ianto" as I'm reading the books aloud. I'm just curious.

The default is MOV. I have a PC and MOV files dont play nice with many of my applications. I would really like to avoid installing quicktime (which often takes over much of the video playing software) Right now I have to convert every movie I take to avi (my preferred type to work with)

Due to the northeast storm we lost power 3 days ago and will not have power for another several days. I have blankets around the tank but the water has gotten quite chilly and the fish have gotten sluggish (goldfish and algae eater) Someone suggested floating warm bottles of water in the tank. I dont need it VERY warm, I just would like it to be not cold. Usually the tank is at room temp, but now the room temp is in the low 50sF.

I know you need to keep the water kind of warm, but most of the instructions I've found say leave a lamp on 24 hours. Since I do plan to sleep at some point, I am wondering if a small heater would be okay, or would it make the water too warm.

I loved the cast recording of the stage musical and I am thinking about getting the German dvd of the original Disney movie. I am wondering if the songs are dubbed as well. I know it wont be the same actors as the stage version. I am also studying German and plan to listen while having the English subtitles on.

I've been playing Sims2 lately and love the motherload cheat so I dont have to worry about money. I just play for fun. I dont remember if this worked in University and dont want to install it if it doesn't. Also I remember there was a cheat that would bring up a choice thing on the mailbox to make everyone happy? Does that still exist?
