Good idea or bad idea? What are the pros and cons?

Ok. Here is the deal. We have a Gateway FPD1775W Monitor with a Dell Computer. There were funny/weird wavy lines on the monitor and I pushed the "Auto" button on the side. Well, the display offset to the right so that like 30% of it can't be seen. I adjusted the Horizontal option so it was all the way to the left (through the monitor menu). I also adjusted through the graphics card (all the way to the left). BTW, running XP. So about 10% of the display is still off the screen. For example, the clock and the little icons next to it cannot be seen. I am missing about 1.5" to 2" of view. Also, I updated the Video card driver. I went to the Gateway website and looked for a monitor driver there. Entered serial #'s and part #'s from the monitor and the search returned nothing. One last thing. When the resolution is changed, the screen goes blank for a second, the monitor pops up perfect like it should, then a box pops up (not a windows box, but one from the monitor) that says "auto adjust in progress" and the thing goes back to having the problem. I can't stop it from auto adjusting. I don't know a whole lot about computers, but enough to get myself in trouble so, I figured I'd ask on here.

Any ideas?

I have an 8 month old Doberman who just likes to chew. He carries my belongings around, but doesn't really get a chance to chew them because I take them away. We've been giving rawhide and it has been fine up until about a month ago when he started just ripping through rawhides like its no problem. Now, I understand that this isn't good for him and I don't want to hear "Rawhides are terrible for your dog" or "you are a terrible pet owner because you let your dog chew on rawhide". He will chew through a tightly wrapped retriever roll in as little as an hour. We have tried bully sticks (about 10")and he can get through them just about as fast. With the times like they are, we really can't afford to let him chew on bully sticks like that. I've found that the pressed rawhides last much better. Also real bones are not a good option for him because he can crack pieces off (basted ones are especially problematic).

Any better ideas?

We have an almost 8 month old Doberman puppy (He's about 60lbs). He is a great pooch and we currently feed him California Natural Lamb Meal and Rice for Puppies (591 kCal/cup). All of his number 2's have always been like cow patties. He gets a pro-biotic in the morning with his breakfast and that helped a little. This weekend, after talking with our vet (my gf is a vet tech), but we did talk to our Vet, not just my GF, we decided to try out California Natural Herring & Sweet Potato (419 kCal/cup). I haven't started to switch him over yet. We are still probably going to switch.

Your Thoughts?

Just wondering. It seems like people only recommend Innova and the like. We use Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy for the Doberman. Why is this good food? Why is it not?

Already have a doberman (not a miniture pincher) and looking for a little guy to compliment him. ideally a purebred between 10-25 lbs.

I really like the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, but I hear they kind of come with some health troubles.

What's your dogs name and what is the one little thing (use paws like hands, sit butt on furniture) that just gets you everytime they do it?

My 4-1/2 month old male Doberman was just about house broken. We had jinglebells on the door that he would ring to go out and it worked great up until yesterday. He hasn't been ringing the bells or giving a sign that he is going to pee. He still goes #2 outside with no problem.

Is this normal?

Any tips for correction besides just keep trying?

Ok, so I have an 08 Silverado with the 5.3L V8 and active fuel management (turns off 4 cylinders when not needed). Will the truck us more gas at highway speeds if the air conditioning is set at 60F or 70F? Or does the temperature of the air not matter?

I really want to go the route of using a Roman or Greek Historical/Mythological Name or a distinct German Name. Some contenders are: Titus, Nero, Zeus, Atlas, Thor & Hans

been told that I need to take a General Aptitude Test

Battery and I don't really know what to expect from it. Is

it just a general test or are there plumbing/pipefitting

specific questions. And Second, I have heard rumors that

the union can knock time off the apprenticeship for

previous training (I have completed the Navy Nuclear

Training Pipeline - know quite a bit about fluid flow, heat

transfer, piping materials, and the like). Any truth to

this?
