I want to take advantage of a free auction template, but I must be missing something here b/c I just can't seem to make it work.

Using the numbers at the top of the laptop slows me down so much, and I'm really hoping someone in the Answers community can decipher what it is I'm trying to describe.

Now, they took my measurements and they performed the examination, so if this is indeed a legitimate charge, then what they're saying to me translates to "We don't feel confident in the accuracy of our work. Therefore, we must CHARGE you to check it out. I know this fee is an industry standard, but I also find it questionable that my insurance company won't pay for this fee. Hmmm, could it be that the insurance company knows it's a bogus fee?

So, get ready to sound off. I want to know what others have to say about this. I'd also like to hear if there is a truly good, legitimate reason for this charge. I'm not a pessimist by nature, and I like my Optometrist so I don't like thinking that she's charging this only because it's an "Industry Standard" and therefore can do it without question.
