Asheville, NC help on camping?
I went camping 10 years ago near Asheville, NC. I am looking to revisit the places I went to but cannot pinpoint the exact locations. I have tried google satellite images but to no avail.
What I can describe is I remember two things: 1) There was a rock slide where water ran down a rock face and people could slide down it into a pool. It was fairly popular because it seemed it was an attraction of some sort. 2) There was a small river that had huge boulders in it. We were able to actually jump from boulder to boulder down the river.
I can try to explain more of what I can remember, but any help is useful in trying to fin these locations. I am planning a camping trip in this area. Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - United States1 decade agoHome network problem, windows networking wizard?
First, I'm gonna burn all my Windows discs if I cant get this fixed.
Here we go, there are 3 computers on our home network. All three laptops are connected to a router wirelessly. Everything was working fine until we decided to create a file sharing network. We ran the network setup wizard for all three computers, entered workgroup names and computer names, etc.
I can say nothing went well. After several restarts of all machines we could never get the file sharing working right. some computers couldn't connect to others and so on. Plus, our network is so incredible slow, it's worse than dial up.
Now we want to get rid of every instance of a shared network from our computer. I've searched all over and the only thing I can think of is re-install windows XP. We have already deleted the shared folders, changed the workgroup name, changed our compter names, uninstalled the Microsoft shared folders and printers under our wireless LAN settings.

Looking for more information about string theory and possibly blogs that are continuously updating. I've seen the NPR movie special on string theory so I pretty much have the basics covered. Looking for a site that either is a scientist blog or a research blog about string theory!
Thanks :)
2 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoMonitor problem screen has dots all over?
Okay, re-installing the drivers did not work. I included a screenshot of what the screen looks like with all those "dots." By the way, the dots are not set in stone. As I navigate around between folders, the dots get worse, some go away, its like a crap shoot.
I took the video card out and wiped off the connections and cleaned some dust off. But still same problem. Also, when the computer boots up at first displaying bios information, the screen is basically all messed up. I cannot make out anything. Then Windows loads and the screen looks a little better.
I also did a virus check and spyware check with no infections.

The screenshot is really not that bad, but it can look a lot worse.
Also, the video card is AGP 2x. Since they are very hard to find, would it be a better idea to switch to a PCI graphics card? I have a few slots open.
Thanks for any help!

The site is going to be about news. Possibly related somehow to bias in news. But I think the site will eventually encompass the world. Something easy and memorable and preferably a dot com name. I would imagine that there eventually will be a community that talks about the news too. Thanks in advance and looking for creative minds! Looking for fun easy names, not like newscommunity.com thats too long and boring :)

Looking to take pictures of people, objects, whatever and throw a filter over them to make a "cartoony" look to them. I cant seem to find a filter thats built in to photoshop, unless there is some crazy setting i missed.
Any ideas how I can do this, or a link to a filter I can download and install into photoshop to achieve this effect?
