  • Back to Business Part III?

This is Aria. I am starting a fragrance company in Las Vegas, NV. I need a bit of business advice. I can be contacted at joytoscribe@yahoo.com. I goofed this thing up three times! It is new to me (not fragrance; I used to work for the best), however, I hope to be up and moving by Spring 2007. So any advice is appreciated. Also, the site is www.besejobem.biz. Thanks, everyone. All other answers have been great in the past for other concerns. ~Aria

  • Presidential Doodlings?

Today, I saw an article on Presidential doodlings. For Herbert Hoover, I was unable to see the rest of a doodle he had drawn. President Hoover was considered a rather lazy beaurocrat (no offense, just paraphrasing) and one of his doodles began with the Star of David at the top. The next line said "How many foreclosures". President Hoover's term heralded in The Great Depression. I was wondering if someone out there could tell me what the rest of the doodle said/reflected in the drawing. Thanks.

  • The Procrastinating Husband?

My husband is a procrastinator. It doesn't matter what it is, unless it has to do with food and then he's okay. I really hate to be the nag but we are spinning our wheels and he wonders why. He wants his own business but it's up to me to do all of the necessary planning, execution, and adminsitration. Meanwhile, I have to cook, clean, put up with some things I shouldn't have to put up with and keep the whole bunch on track while I simultaneously write my book and run a paralegal business. What to do? I feel like the Titanic. Any tips?

  • I need help with my bed, seriously and don't ask me to go to Heloise please?

I have a California King size bed and sheets to fit it. Well, I have a yucky back and my husband has shoulder problems. Well, we bought a down filled "mattress" to put on the top to make our sleep better (it has). BUT, I can't get the sheets to go over the thing without them popping off. So, I compromise but I don't want my king mattresses ruined since my Dad bought our bed for 1,100 bucks when we got married. Now, I know how to sew by hand and machine. Does anybody out there think that I can solve my problem by sewing enough heavy duty elastic on there to "force" the sheets to stay in place? Or, are there any other suggestions? This is a first in sewing for me and I don't want to ruin the sheets. I have a mattress cover but I like sleeping on crisp sheets. If anybody has an idea, thanks.

  • Step-daughter and a big mess?

I need help urgently. We got my husband's daughter back when she was still 15. At the time, she was strung out on meth and narcotics. She was paying for her meth and pills with her body in ways too sickening and heartbreaking to list. Her mother dumped her off unceremoniously one day. We got her cleaned up and we came pitbulls. We have literally chased one dealer off with a ball bat. She's also a well-trained compulsive liar. She dropped out of school at 14 due to the drugs and no supervision from Mom. We didn't know it but she was living with an Oxycontin addict and gambler at one time. Her boyfriend now is 35. Okay, she's been to more than one counselor. The doc has her on meds for depression as it runs in her mother's side of the family. But this morning, I was walking to the kitchen and saw a tiny ziploc with a bit of powdery stuff in it on the floor. I picked it up and some of the granules looked like sugar crystals. I believe it to be meth.

  • Daughter #1 for teen answers or counselors?

I have a duaghter who is 17. For whatever reason, she seems to like jobless young men and criminals. She's absolutely stunning. Where did her self-esteem go? We never set her up for that. In fact, we coddled her! Can anybody help? I just want her to have a "regular" life within the realm of regular everyday teens. Plus, she's terrified of everything. Has a Mercedes waiting and she won't even learn to drive. She's afraid of the world. And our family thinks we over-did the protection. But how do you make it right?

  • I am asking teens or counselors?

I have a fifteen year old daughter. She is wonderful. She is smart, funny, a very pretty. But I don't know how things are going wrong! Some guy named Sam is nice and then mean, mean and then nice. I want Rambo to take care of Sambo. I am angry. He just had a child and now what does he want? My baby girl? And then the guy she likes runs hot and cold. All I can tell you is that *Aurora has her way of thinking. I was wondering if all of this is because she chooses not to have sex? Can anybody out there help me?
