  • Discussion Topic: Does being baptised mean you are saved?

If so, what about the thief on the cross on the left of Jesus at calvary?

If not, why do it if it does not grant you salvation?

Do your best to support your thoughts with scripture. This is one of the most debated topics among denominations.

Please keep it civil people. No cheap shots.

  • There will never be proof of God. Why? Thoughts, reflections?

    Hebrews 11

    By Faith

1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for.

3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

13All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. 14People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

39These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 40God had planned something better

  • What is the connection between Agnostics and athiests, and the angry looking avatars they select?

Could it be that their anger reaches well past the religion and spirituality section of Y!A? Is it a "sublimation" of the angst burdoned? Could their search for true inner happiness be the real reason they are trolling these boards?

    Simple minds want to know...

  • Open Season on Christians.?

Why do non-believing people get so angry and hostile with Christians they have never met when given the opportunity to voice their oppinions about God? As I read through the posts here, in some responses there is an air of disdain. If you have already made your decision about what you believe about God, why demonstrate so much hate towards those of us who have concluded he's real? What threat is it?
