no phone line, what's the best way to connect to the internet?
We're moving to a new apartment in Las Vegas and need internet access. We won't be using a phone line for the first while. We have a couple of modems, and wireless capabilities, but I want to know how to connect to the 'net. Can I just use a $10-$20 ISP? Do I need to go through one of the bigger companies? I do want to keep the connection up to about 3-4 mbps. it's been suggested that I have an upload speed of roughly 250 kbps. What's the best way to do this without paying an exorbitant amount of money?
6 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoI'm looking for a good place to rent in Las Vegas for a family.?
I'm planning on going to school at UNLV to finish a grad degree and need to find a place where I can live with my wife and three kids while on an extremely limited budget. I want a place that feels safe enough that we won't be constantly worried about our kids safety, but we are going to be living on a very small income. Does anyone have any suggestions on places that will work for me?
1 AnswerRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoGood big guy's (meaning abnormally tall) starter motorcycle?
I stand 6' 7" (weigh around 200 lbs) with about a 36" inseam. I'd really like a cruiser, but don't want to bite off more than I can chew. I'd like it to be inexpensive but pretty (yes I know I may drop it, but I want something I'm willing to ride for a few years before I trade up). I was thinking about the Suzuki Boulevard c50. What do all you expert-types think? (and, yes, the BRC is a given when I finally get ready to ride).
5 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoWhat's the best way to get started with motorcycling?
I'm thinking about taking up motorcycling and want to know how and where I should start. Any suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'll probably be taking this up in about a year or so, depending on financial and time limitations.
