If God is omniscient then it is impossible for there to be freewill because if God already knows what we will do then we are all fated to either disobey him and go to hell or obey him and go to heaven. Therefore, what would be the point in giving us the choice in the first place if the decision has already been made? On the other hand, if we do have true freewill then that would mean that God is not omniscient because he would not be able to see the choices that we would make and that would be a complete contradiction to what he is... What do you think?

Well, if you believe that God is Omniscient and outside time itself, then technically wouldn't that mean that God knew before it actually happened that Lucifer would turn against him? Therefore, that would mean that God himself created Lucifer for this purpose and technically he should not be hated for what he was fated to do?

I don't really understand how people can believe that these stories, i.e. Jonas and the whale, are to be taken literally. I believe that if you are to take anything from these stories that they are to be taken figuratively to get across morals and ideas. What are your thoughts?

Ok first off please no religious propaganda here. I'm not looking for who you think is God or what religion you follow. Personally I don't follow any religion and that's not what I'm getting at. Second of all, the "look at all the evil in the world" response is just a cop out so don't try and use that either.

That being said, the people who answered honestly, thank you. I appreciate and respect your opinions, but for the sake of argument is it really that much better to say that there just always has and always will be existence rather than existence is more than just an unbelievably astronomical coincidence?

Just a question I've been pondering.

There is one problem with people who are atheists and that is why or how could there be anything at all in the universe if there wasn't a God to start it? I mean I believe in the big bang theory and all, but how would matter be created from nothing if there were no God?

Now, get me right, I know there are bad things about drugs and there are drugs that you just shouldn't do (Cocaine, Meth, Heroine). However, drugs like ecstasy and weed have just as many, if not fewer, negative side effects than drinking and smoking cigarettes let alone death rates. How can people bash these drugs so much harder than alcohol or cigarettes? I mean I've never heard of someone smoking so much weed that they die and there are more deaths in people who are taking prescription pills correctly than in people taking ecstasy. I just don't get it...

For instance if you are "rolling" on ecstasy at a rave, but don't have any pills on you.
