Is it normal for my resting heart rate to jump from mid 60's to 180 with just a few minutes of jogging?
Hello,
Here's some background info first. I'm 6'2" and 307 pounds, definitely an overweight guy. I have high blood pressure thats under control through the use of medication. I recently had it checked at 127/75. Now on to the question, my resting heart rate is anywhere between 60bpm-70bpm. Tonight I went to the gym and while on the treadmil my heart rate was holding steady at 180bpm. Is this normal? I recently got my lipids profile results and my total cholesterol was 156, my HDL was 48 and LDL was 91. Also, an EKG showed everything was normal. Is it normal for my resting heart rate to jump from mid 60's to 180 with just a few minutes of jogging?
2 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoWhats a safe blood pressure ?
Hello, here's my question. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure about 6 months ago and put on medication (Benicar 20mg). When initially checked 6 months ago my blood pressure was 141/110, I've been keeping active and have lost 25 pounds since then. Losing weight and taking my medication usually as instructed has dropped my blood pressure to 113/70 which I think is awesome but I want to make sure if that's a safe reading and that it didn't drop too fast. Any educated users are welcomed to answer. I'm currently 25 years old which I know is way too young to be on blood pressure medication.
4 AnswersHeart Diseases1 decade agoI have a painful sore in the rear of my mouth, what can it be?
Hello, I have a painful sore on what appears to be my tonsils (right side), it started hurting a few days ago. Tuesday morning I woke up and it was hurting, however it wasn't hurting the night before. It still hurts today but is not accompanied by any other symptoms (fever, chills etc). When carefully looking into the back of my mouth with a mirror I can see in the area where it hurts the most there's a small white lump or pimple. I'm waiting til Monday to see my doctor but want to know what it could be. If there are any doctors or very knowledgeable people on here that can help me figure this out I'd really appreciate it.
1 AnswerDental1 decade ago95 camaro over heating?
I have a 95 chevy camaro v6 that is overheating. Within the past year I've had the radiator, thermostat, and water pump changed. It worked fine up until about a week ago when it began getting hot until it overheated for a bried period of time (5 minutes) I just changed the thermostat out thinking it was the problem but its still doing it. Water pump and and radiator seem fine because the coolant is circulating especially while accelerating. The car is not leaking coolant as the fluid level has remained the same. I am running about a 60% antifreeze 40% water mix right now. The fan is also turning on. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what else I can check? I'm stumped at this point
