  • If your spouse cheated on you, and you decided to give the relationship another chance, but a few?

months later, you feel as if the relationship is going nowhere, just the same as it's always been for years and years, and you're hurt and feel you should be treated better than what you are because you've given your spouse another chance, is it fair to change your mind and opt for the divorce now on the grounds of adultery?

Does anyone out there know of a case in divorce court (in the USA) where viewing pornography was admitted and accepted as the sole proof of adultery and the spouse who was the one viewing the adultery lost his/her case?

  • Can anyone out there tell me how much they are paying for membership at a health club in South Central Texas?

I really hate it when I walk in a health club and say I want to join, but you have to go thru this sales pitch and pressure of hiring a personal trainer and purchasing vitamins/supplements for a whole lot of money. They don't tell you up front what a basic membership is, you have to listen to this whole presentation first, and if you don't buy into their sales pitch, you get treated like a second class citizen.

Plain and simple, I just want to join a gym, use the equipment and attend some of the classes.

Someone out there please tell me how much do you pay per year for basic membership and where. Are there other start-up fees to pay as well? I just want to have an idea before I walk in there.

And if anyone knows of a certain gym where you don't get all this pressure to hire personal trainers and vitamin supplements, please let me know the name.

    Thanks.

  • What's the difference between an all women's health club/gym and a health club where both men and women?

My husband tells me that I should join a women's health club because the exercise equipment there is more suited for women's bodies. I don't believe him. I think the only difference is that men are not allowed to join at the women's club (like Curve's) while you'll find both women and men at the regular health clubs like Gold's gym, Bally's, Fitness Connection. Please someone confirm for me if there is any other difference. I also feel that if I join a women's only club, there will be less variety of equipment and less classes for me to participate in than if I join a regular health club/gym.

I want to reap the health benefits, plus good taste. I want something moderately priced since it will be drunk everyday.

    Maybe 2 or 3 choices.

  • In Texas, options for elderly needing assisted healthcare, but has no good insurance or close family to help?

This 86 year old woman that I know is in a bad situation. Almost 2 weeks ago she suffered a hip fracture. She lay on the floor in her home for almost 2 days before her 75 yr. old step-brother found her. On June 26 she underwent surgery and was sent to an assisted living facility on June 27 for physical therapy. Her mind is sharp, but her body is still frail, she can't hear and gets dizzy spells from an already existing vertigo condition. Two days ago she was told that she would be discharged on July 8. She's been widowed for over 15 yrs., never had children, and her brother is no help as he actually acts like a teenager stuck in an old man's body. The reason for discharge is not clear, but it has to do with the insurance, Secure Horizons. My co-workers and I have been unable to provide much help as we work and have to take care of our own families. Right now is the 1st chance I have to ask for advice. What kind of options are there for elderly with no family and no insurance?

  • Do you think Vicente Fox will do anything to keep Mexican people in Mexico? If so, what?

I caught the end of a report on NPR (National Public Radio) this morning something about Fox saying "we" (implying Mexican government?) need to find a way to make it more attractive to keep the Mexicans in Mexico. Unfortunately, I didn't get to hear the whole report.

  • Has anyone ever had a cell phone repaired?

I have a Motorola V300 flip style phone. Everything works perfect on it EXCEPT my husband dropped it and now the only way I can hear people I'm speaking with is with speakerphone or with the earset. Otherwise, trying to listen the normal way, sometimes I can hear the person real faint, or if the conversation starts off okay, if I move the phone a little, then I can't hear them.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has ever had any luck taking a cell phone to a repair shop where other electronics are repaired and for a reasonable price?

  • Chinese Cantonese or Chinese Mandarin? .....Or French?

I am American with Mexican roots. English is my first language. I can speak, read and write some Spanish. I would like to use the 45 minute commute to and from work every day to learn a new language with the Pimsleur Approach. I want to try Chinese. Is there anyone out there without a Chinese background who learned to speak Chinese successfully, and which dialect is the most common nowadays (Cantonese or Mandarin)? I could always pick up French, which I took a semester of in college, but I feel that I will have less of a chance to use it since more of the world population is speaking Chinese than French (and I think it Cantonese Chinese). Apologies for making this so long.
