Does Ireland have any recourse to challenge the result of the match with France today?
Henry's handball was blatant and intentional, and it's an absolute shame that the ref didn't see it. It seems like Ireland should be able to petition FIFA to nullify the result, but I'm not familiar with the petitioning process in international soccer. Anyone know?
8 AnswersFIFA World Cup (TM)1 decade agoIs Yakubu going to start for Everton this weekend at Fulham?
I read that he's at least training with the team and has made at least one non-Premiere League appearance, but I can't find a clear declaration that he will play this weekend. Anyone know more?
4 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)1 decade agoWill Didier Drogba play against Fulham next week?
He picked up a yellow card in each of his first two games. I'm new to following the Premier League, so I wanted to know if two yellows lead to a one-game suspension.
Have him in the fantasy lineup--need to know! Thanks

5 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoHow can I make my PC microphone record with less hiss?
it's just a standard issue microphone, nothing fancy. when i try to record music it does fine, but there's always an overwhelming hiss. it's not even background hiss; it's in the foreground and competes with the music. i've tried using the hiss reduction effect on my recording software, but the hiss is so prevalent it basically ruins the track and makes it sound hollow.
is there anything i can do to the microphone itself to help reduce hiss?
4 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoHow do I delete a cookie that keeps changing its filename?
I don't understand how it is doing this. I just got the free version of Spyware Doctor today and I was cleaning up a lot of the spyware it found on my computer. In my cookies folder there is one cookie named 'default@go[2]' that keeps changing its name every ten seconds or so to 'default@go[1]'. I can sit here and watch it change intermittently. Windows won't let me delete the file because it doesn't recognize the filepath (I assume because the file changed names after i clicked delete). I've tried renaming the file myself, and then deleting it. I can delete the file when I do that, but in ten seconds it reappears. This is freaking me out. Any advice on how to get this thing off my computer (or find its source so I can delete that)?
5 AnswersSecurity2 decades agoWhat is your Yahoo! Answers helpfulness ratio?
What is your ratio of best answers to questions answered?
e.g. I have 53 best answers out of 299 questions answered. So my helpfulness ratio is 53/299=~17.73%
10 points to the person with the highest helpfulness ratio.
4 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoIs this possible?
Say there is a line of several car-hauling semitrucks with ramps down at road-level in a straight line driving down a straight stretch of road. Each truck is going just a bit faster than the truck in front of it. Also, there is, say, a Geo Metro behind the last truck. If it were timed just right, by having the Metro drive up onto the ramp of the one semi just as that semi drove onto the ramp of the semi in front of it, etc., is it conceivable that the Metro could break the sound barrier?
It seems that relative to the ground, the metro will be gaining the speed of each truck in the line. If the car and trucks are each going around 60mph, and there are 9 trucks, presumably the car could go around 600mph relative to the ground.
I know this seems silly. Maybe doing this with only one truck would be a better case to consider. Is even that feasible? Or am I missing some major practical drawback here?

5 AnswersSecurity2 decades agoWill the NCAA Selection Committee try to set up a Kentucky/Duke matchup in the early rounds?
Almost every year, the committee places UK and Duke in the same region. This year, there is a good chance Kentucky will be in the 8 v. 9 game, meaning they could meet a 1-seeded Duke in the second round.
Will the Committee try to make this happen? Do you think they consider this sort of thing when they place the teams?
