  • Charging the HOA for tree trimming (that originally came out of my pocket?)?

Several months back I was receiving violations regarding broken branches for trees that the HOA said were on my property. I paid for the trees to be trimmed (about $400.) After a recent spat with the HOA I've discovered that the trees were not on my property. I want them to reimburse me for the $400. Couple questions for anyone that can help:

    A. Do I have a case or is there a statute of limitations on this type of thing?

    B. If I do have a case what do I need to get them to repay me besides the receipt/bid for the trimming?

    C. If I do have a case and they say "No" should i get a lawyer to send something to them?

    Thank you!

  • Can you defrost frozen items in warm/hot water?

I always defrosted frozen things in warm/ hot water but my girl friend says that her mother told her that this is bad... If warming things up before you cook them is bad why is there a defrost setting on the microwave that heats the air? Can you help me settle this dispute?

  • Help stop my pet from escaping?

My dog consistantly chews the bottom of the fence and escapes, I put up a metal grate and she tore that off and escaped, I put a wooden board and nailed it and she tore that off, finally put an iron sheet/kick plate at the bottom of the gate, she chewed at that and bent it then escaped. Nothing seems to work, we've also tried the no chew spray, the no stay spray, even putting a full propane tank (about 35-40 lbs) there and she still moves it, she herself is about 30 lbs. Please help me control my dog, other than the escaping she is a fantastic dog.

  • Question on approving military spending...?

Now the president can deploy troops as he is the commander in chief and I know that the congress is the one who funds the war. When the congress is passing a bill to fund the war must they have a simple majority (51%) or a 2/3rds majority to approve the funding bill?

Reason being that i was having an argument about increasing the gas tax to about $1.50 up from 70 cents and make hundreds of billions to pay for social programs. He said it would all go to the war, I said no because dems are in power and they need a simple majority to block spending of this new tax.

  • Do you know the facts of the Iraq War?

Most people are ignorant and like to ignore the facts that the liberal media and politicitions like to bury. Like first off the scores of people, men WOMEN AND CHILDREN, he tortured and killed through various hideious fashions. Or maybe the the fact of YES he had WMDs and programs do develop such items. Don't beleive me? Don't worry! The Chief UN Weapon Inspector said in 2003 that he found traces of and had NO doubt that they had them and were developing more, just because they were flown to Syria in 2002 doesn't mean they weren't there at one point. And this bs of "We're not winning," well shoot the US didn't even have control of itself until 1783, 7 years AFTER the Declaration of Independace. Even then we were still strung up with turmoil. So why do you nay sayers think things happen overnight? One last thing, you also say that Iraqi people don't want us there, they don't want freedom/democracy, the 16 million people that came out to vote in their last election would beg to differ.
