  • Question about hypnobirthing?

I am wondering how many of you have used hypnobirthing during your delivery? Which method did you use? Did it work? I am determined to have a drug-free pregnancy but also want to learn how to deal with the pain so I am not begging for drugs that in my heart I know I don't want. Any other tips you can also give me to help deal with the pain will be greatly appreciated.

  • Any suggestions for brushing teeth while pregnant?

Hi everyone. I am 15 weeks pregnant today and am having the hardest time brushing my teeth in the morning. Every time I try to brush the back of my teeth I gag, and usually vomit. This happened before I got pregnant but is 10 times worse since I got pregnant. I asked my doctor and she didn't have any good suggestions, besides using less toothpaste. I've tried everything I could think of (brushing different times during the day, using warm water instead of cold water, using manual toothbrush instead of electric). Does anyone have any other suggestions I haven't tried? I feel so disgusting since I haven't been able to properly brush my teeth.

  • Missing Symptom of Pregnancy?

This might be TMI but I was wondering if it's normal to be 14 weeks pregnant and not have sore breasts? I am fairly well endowed and was wondering if it's normal if my breasts don't hurt and I'm in my second trimester already (I had absolutely no symptoms when I took the pregnancy test either)? Anyone else experienced this and can tell me I should still be able to breastfeed in 6 months?

  • What do you call your little one before you know the gender?

I was just thinking about this this morning. I am only 10w5d pregnant and when I talk to my child (I doubt s/he can hear me but what harm can it do?) I refer to it as Little One or Sweet Little One. When I discuss him/her with my husband I call him/her our baby or affectionately call it my Little Leach (s/he sucks out every last ounce of energy I have). I was just wondering what other expectant mothers call their child before they know if it's male or female?

  • Nervous about labor pains...help?

Ever since my husband and I have been ttc I've worried myself sick over labor pains. Now that I'm pregnant it seems to be all I can think about. I can't even enjoy this pregnancy because I always dread that day in the hospital when I go into labor. I am only 8 weeks along so I don't want to spend the next 32 weeks worrying myself sick over something that will inevitably happen. Can other women who have gone through labor and delivery give me some words of encouragement? Is it really as bad as I am making it out to be or am I worrying myself sick over nothing? I know it's going to hurt but how bad? My cousin (who was 21) made labor and delivery look so easy. I do plan to do it without any pain drugs as I want to have as few precautions as possible during delivery.

  • It's my first pregnancy and I'm nervous?

My husband and I just found out we are expecting our first child. I have a doctor's appointment in about 3 weeks but am so afraid of doing something wrong before that and causing me to lose our baby. I'm really concerned about my body temp getting too hot. I like a lot of blankets at night and a hot shower in the morning. Can my body temp rise too high and cause me to miscarry?

  • Does anyone tip their groomer?

I've been to a couple of groomers and was wondering if I am supposed to be tipping them? My dog's haircuts look amazing, but at the same time I'm already paying over $50 for the grooming.
