For women that have taken Ortho Tri Cyclen?
When I was a teenager, my periods were not very regular (one every 4-6 weeks), but I understand that's not unusual. A bit over a year ago I started taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, which made my periods extremely regular; 28 days exactly, and they usually even started at the same time of day. I was on this medication for about 5 months. Then I got a different job, which didn't have health insurance, so I quit taking the pills. Ever since, my periods have been getting further and further apart! The first couple months they were 6 weeks apart, but now it's up to 8 or 10 weeks between periods! I don't really mind not having a period as often, since they're just a pain, but I worry that when I eventually want to have kids I won't be able to.
Has anyone else had similar effects after discontinuing this medication? I also should mention that my parents tried to have kids for 10 years before they were successful (with the help of medication), so infertility might run in my genes.
5 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoScotchguard on a microfiber sofa?
I have a microfiber couch that I want to protect from spills, but I'm not sure if Scotchguard is ok to use or not. The instructions on the can say not to use it on leather or suede... microfiber is similar to suede in texture, but is made of cloth, not leather. The instructions also say it won't alter the texture or feel of fabric. Do you think it will be ok because it is cloth, or not a good idea because it is similar to suede? Has anyone actually tried this with good results?

I'm thinking about buying a cute old house, but it has railroad tracks really close by that are a big eyesore. If I planted a tall hedge to block it from view, how long would it take the plants to get to the proper height/density? It would have to be about 20 feet long and 6 feet high.
What types of plants are good to use? I live in the Midwestern USA- not sure what gardening "zone" that is, but it gets fairly warm and humid in the summer, and below freezing in the winter.
4 AnswersGarden & Landscape2 decades agoWho is the band playing in the Nicholas Cage movie, "National Treasure"?
It's in the scene where there's a fancy ball in Washington D.C., while Nicholas Cage is trying to steal the Declaration of Independence. There are 5 women in ballgowns playing violins and cellos and stuff; they're playing classical music, but with a modern Rock twist to it. I think they're a real musical group, but I didn't see them mentioned in the credits... I want to find out if they have a CD.

I see people re-upolster couches and chairs on TV home decorating shows all the time. It seems like a great way to re-use an ugly couch or something- does anyone know how to do that and make it look good?
1 AnswerDecorating & Remodeling2 decades agoDo Sunflowers need stakes?
When you plant sunflowers, do they need to grow against something tall and stable, like a wall or a stake, to stand up straight? Or will they stand up with no support? If I plant them with no support, will they bend over when they get too tall?
