I started on acoustic for about a year, moved to bass for about 3 years, and now I'm getting into electric guitar. I'm getting an Epiphone Wildkat, so I'll have a pretty good clean tone to start. I'm going to be playing blues and rock, mostly influenced by the White Stripes.

The main question is, SS or tube amp? Is there any point in me getting a tube amp? I think I'd be getting in way over my head: I don't know anything about tubes, or replacing them, and I'm not a super tone freak. The only reason I ask is I noticed Fender has these amps tube amps in my price range, which is $200-$300. Are these tube amps? The Fender vibro champ and the super champ.

As I said, I don't know much about amps in general, but I know I want something that can give me a bright tone, whether overdriven or distorted, etc. I always make sure I'm well educated before I buy anything, but it's all very overwhelming, there's so many different amps! Also, I didn't really want to rely on a modeling amp, cuz if I change amps, there goes all my effects.

Any input and info about tube amps would be appreciated!

Are there any more live recorded concerts besides the Under Blackpool Lights dvd? I remember I watched one after Get Behing Me Satan was released. I remember Jack performed the nurse and played the xylophone/marimba thing. It's weird, I know it wasn't on dvd, but it seems like I watched it in my living room and on my tv, not on my computer. Maybe it aired on tv? Is there a dvd of it?

Again, just to clarify, I already own the Under Blackpool Lights dvd, and I'm interested in live performance videos, not live audio.

Maybe I just have terrible handwriting, but what the hell? My circles only work about 1 tenth of the time. I'm on the part where Mr. orange does the konohana dance and you have to circle the blossoms, and it just won't work! Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

There's a piece of plastic covering the pci port: do I break it off, or try to pry it or something. There's nothing in the manual, and I don;t wanna have to call support.

I don't currently own a ps3, but on ign.com's playstation podcast, they said you have to re-add your friends game-by-game, instead of, like, a 360, where it's permanently incorparated. But the stupid guy at bestbuy told me it's not true. Is it?

I recently bought an hdtv, 720p, and I was playing xbox 360 and there seems to be alot of lines running up the screen.They are horizontal [left to right], and they run up the screen as I move around. Now, I've experienced these before on my old tv, but not as much as this. The game is an xbox live arcade game called switchball, so maybe the fact that it's made on a lower budget has something to do with it? My queston is, is this caused by the game, some setting on the 360, or a setting on the tv?

As I said, there was a little kid, a big muscly guy with a really gruff voice (i think he was a soldier from the future, he had these glasses like cyclops from x-men, and had a southern accent), and a kind of wimpy robot, who I think had an English accent. They traveled though time and saw all these historic people, like Beethoven, the Wright bros, Napolean, and helped them with their problems.

I know it was on t.v. sometime between 2000-2003. I think it was animated sort of like Samurai Jack, and I think the kid's name started with an O? Maybe Otis?

I bought an 80 gb ipod video yesterday, and dont have time right now to search through the help or the manual. My question is, is there any way to set the ipod for continuous play, like it reaches the end of a cd and starts playing the next cd automatically? I don'y really like having to get it out, move to the next cd, and hit play.

Well, I'm not a huge watcher of anime, but I do really like Naruto. I watch all the japanese episodes w/ subtitles( I think the english voice is obnoxious). I would like to start watching Bleach, as it looks cool, but I'm wondering, should I watch it in english or japanese? I have access to both(I think, i'm using torrents and haven't started downloading them yet). I hate having to look at the subtitles, but I know from watching naruto that alot of people in forums and stuff use the japanese names when they are talking about it. Then again, I think the japanese would have a more intense/immersive storyline.

What do you guys prefer?

I'm currently 17 years old, and, well, really out of shape. I have really recognized the importance of geting back in shape, starting this summer. I tried Tae Kwon Do when I was a kid, and ended up tearing the muscles in my legs and didn't want to do it anymore, so I quit. Now that I'm older, whats the latest age you would want to get into martial arts (I would hopefully do it semi-privately, so I'm not with the little kids =D), and what type? I wouldn't be able to get into it for awhile, but i'm big, so I'd like something where youv'e gotta be sturdy(not sumo though), or something fast-moving, and if possible, something that teaches peacefulness and discipline.

Can you help me? Is this realistic?

I have a kinda funky audiovox mp3 player, and I am thinking about getting a new one. I have always been kind of anti-ipod because I've heard alot of bad things about them and I think the accessories are extremely overpriced. But they are the most popular (my opinion), so they must be doing something right. Sooooo...
