We inadvertently made a non-refundable hotel reservation for a 3 night stay at a Holiday Inn in West Virginia. We were unable to go on the trip and our money was not refunded. (insert cuss word here) My question is: Is it lawful for Holiday Inn to charge us 13% WV sales tax for 3 nights of lodging that never occurred?

In other words, is it proper for me to install my hearing aids while sitting in my cubicle at work?

Two days ago, our dogs killed an eight or nine week-old baby raccoon that had wandered into our back yard . Poor little guy. We buried it in the side yard where the dogs do not have access.

Twice, the baby raccoon has been dug up; each time, the body was not disturbed. When I discovered the open grave the second time, I reburied the raccoon deeper, placed cinder blocks on top and sprinkled cayenne pepper all over the area.

My question - if dogs can be ruled out as the culprit, is it possible that the mother raccoon is digging up her deceased kit? The mother and remaining kits are still in the area (but no longer in the attic, thank you Ms. Raccoon!) and I was wondering if she would be trying to "save" her baby.

Any advice or speculation will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
