  • What chemical changes does the human body go through in the first fourteen days after death?

I am writing a story in which the principal character regularly handles dead bodies. Part of the plot premise depends on trying to alter the course of chemical changes the body goes through in the first weeks after death. But my college physiology courses were kind of hit-or-miss on post-mortem issues. If you have any books, links, or information about the changes the human body goes through in the first fourteen days after death I would be very appreciative and you would get ten extra points!

  • Anybody know any good non-dairy cookbooks?

My girlfriend and I went off dairy on a doctor's recommendation, and we are more energetic, have better moods, and our health is improving in an all-around manner. So obviously we decided to make this dietary change permanent. Unfortunately, nearly all the recipes I know include milk, sour cream, butter, or cheese, so I have to re-learn how to cook. Are there any good non-dairy cookbooks with recipes that are simple enough that busy students can make them? I'm not looking for a vegan cookbook (though I'm not opposed to one if it's of good quality), what I need is a book of clear, concise recipes of non-dairy meals for small groups.

  • How can you treat cats' litter box problems?

I have two cats. One of them is really good about the litter box, but the other one is very haphazard. She drops her mess on the rim of the box so half goes in and half goes out, or she leaves her mess on the carpet, or she pees on magazines. Sometimes she buries her mess and sometimes she just leaves it lying out. Her box is clean, and we've tried getting two boxes so each cat can have its own territory, but the problem isn't abating. This cat is a feline leukemia carrier, so we can't give her away or send her to a shelter, because she would be put down. Any suggestions would be welcome.

  • Where Can I Find Good Recipes For North Indian Cuisine?

I particularly like vindaloo curry, mulligatawny, and paneer naan. But I live in an out-of-the-way place and can't go to Indian restaurants very often. Where can I find good recpies for this sort of food?

Obviously, if you have links for good recipes that would be ideal. I especially prefer recipes that have ingredients you can get at a good-quality grocery story.

  • Is there a way to attract LGBT people to move to a new town and settle in permanently?

I am not homosexual myself, but it is a fact that when a community develops a healthy LGBT population, the town tends to thrive. Arts and culture flourish, businesses show larger profits, the economy swells, and new residents of all stripes move to a town to partake of the benefits of a healthy local culture. But first there needs to be something in the town to make the LGBT people want to move in. What characteristics would attract such a population and make them want to stay?
