I am extremely concerned about Scientology, and believe the Church of Scientology to be a destructive cult. So I aim to inform people of the very real dangers this organisation presents, as documented in many court cases & by ex-members.
What sort of Church hires Private Investigators to harass critics?
And who said this?
"If you oppose [*DELETED NAME] we promptly look up—and will find and expose your crimes. If you leave us alone we will leave you alone."
"Never discuss [*DELETED NAME] with the critic. Just discuss his or her crimes, known and unknown. And act completely confident that those crimes exist."
"If attacked on some vulnerable point by anyone or anything or any organization, always find or manufacture enough threat against them to cause them to sue for peace. Peace is bought with an exchange of advantage, so make the advantage and then settle. Don't ever defend. Always attack."
"SP Order. Fair game. May be deprived of property or injured by
any means by any [*DELETED NAME] without any discipline of the [*DELETED NAME]. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed."
I deleted the name so someone can answer the question.
Do many 'Churches' do this? Is it correct for a church to do this?
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid you know Hypnosis is used in Scientology...?
Most of the scientology trap works on trance-like suggestion and hypnosis, but members aren't informed about it. I think this is wrong, and should be illegal? You?
"At almost every stage of hypnosis, there are parallels with scientology auditing. People who desire to be hypnotized, or are expecting to be hypnotized, more readily succumb to hypnotic processes. It is not necessary that a person expects to be hypnotized. The person may not be aware of the meaning of hypnosis or of what is involved in it. It is found that the subject will readily go into hypnosis, even though he may be unaware of the technical name of the treatment he is receiving or the fact that he is, or is about to be, in hypnosis."

18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can scientology keep denying the story of Xenu?
Scientologists even on this site keep trying to tell people that the South Park episode wasn't true and that isn't what they really believe concerning ancient alien space lords and alien souls attaching themself to your bodies...
However I have proof it is true...
It all came out in court, and the Church confirmed it was true. Here are the documents:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~kspaink/fishman/index2.html
Every ex-member that was at OTIII or above also confirms the story of Xenu... Some people have the full scanned copy of it in Hubbard's own handwriting (this would be illegal to post at present).
Here's the first page...
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/OTIII/index.html
Yet I still see an experienced member of the Church saying it isn't true, why lie like this?
It is not the 'greatest good over the greatest number of dynamics'- aka no responsibility as long as you 'believe' you are doing good.
Do you think lying about this hurts scientology?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you think destructive cults exist?
Many people seem to be under the illusion that destructive cults don't exist, or that intelligent clever people aren't duped into joining them and it is always the adults informed choice - Cult Apologists...
What do you think? Can well-adjusted adults be mind-controlled without there knowledge?
You can read about cults here:

Any Current Examples? Mine is the Church of Scientology - http://www.clambake.org/
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is your Opinion on censoring individuals and their view?
I have just been labelled a "religious Nazi", had claimed I was "affiliated with a religious hate group", and that "this scourge of religious freedom" (me) should be banned.

What do you think?
Which is using this site properly ,
A) Me criticising the Church of Scientology in an open questions forum with my opinion on the evidence providing links of my sources
B) Someone personally attacking me
OK so I admit, I'm subjective. I think scientology is a cult and I want others to be aware of the danger. Is that so bad?
26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 decades agoHow can I ensure all the world will see my questions?
With this new country limiting thing, how many people won't now be able to see my questions? (not that i ask many, but you get the point i hope)
Is this promoting seperatism and insular attitudes?
Is there a way I can post so everyone will see my question. I don't want just UK people answering my questions just because everyone starts as default in their own region page. I want a truly global answer again!
I am most distressed, please help! :)
11 AnswersYahoo Answers2 decades agoDescribe Excel for a Learning document?
Hi people,
I have made many ICT learning documents, and every time I do them, they change. So rather than just using my brain to rehash my materials, I thought I would use other people's as well.
Can you describe MS Excel in a paragraph, maximum about 100 words please for complete novices.
Thank you for any help!
3 AnswersSoftware2 decades agoThe Bible or Nature as the Word of God?
Working on the following starting block:
1. God created nature directly.
2. The Bible was created though intermediaries.
If Nature shows us one answer, and the bible tells us something different, which interpretation is correct?
What do I follow literally, the bible or nature?
It would appear simple, that Nature is the 'better authority' on God, and is more his direct word and communication with us than the bible?
What do you think?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 decades agoBOOT DISK NOT RECOGNISED, unless i stick the windows XP disk in.?
Then it boots fine. Anyone know what can cause this. Should I just send it back?
I have 2x74GB 10,000 rpm set up in Raid 0, brand new comp.
Do you think the raid, or just corrupt XP install is causing this?

3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 decades agoWhat do you believe the worst single act of atrocity has been in the last 100 years?
I have my own thoughts on this, but wondered what others thought, or knew about. As a hint, mine were never brought up on war crimes, but probably still could be. I would prefer single acts, not culmative acts like killing of 30 million odd russians by Secret police but would probably like to hear none the less.
