I have pain around my ear. One doctor cleaned out a wax plug. That didn't help.Three months later a new doctor said TMJ. My dentist made me a mouth splint which helped for a few months. There is no swelling so the next doctor said I'm depressed. I am taking over the counter pain killers constantly because I cannot tolerate the pain at all. Natural childbirth was more tolerable. I just investigated the parotid salivary gland, and I see this is the area of my pain. How do I get help when I have no symptoms but pain? Also, heat packs feel really good on this site.
