  • I want to sell customised t shirts on Ebay, am I allowed to customise clothes from existing retail stores?

    Hi there,

Serious answers only please. Am I allowed to customise and sell clothes that come from high street retailers? (I'm talking plain white t shirts, but with a small label in the top that says where it is from).

I fully intend to say where the original top is from and point out that they have been customised by me, I will be selling them on Ebay.

Is this permitted, or do high street stores have some sort of legislation that prevents you from doing this?

  • Strangely sensitive abdomen - pregnancy symptom?

    Hi there,

For the last 8 or 9 days, I have had a very weirdly sensitive lower belly - eg, I can't bear any pressure on it, and sitting in the car with the seat belt pressing against it is particularly unpleasant.

My husband and I are trying for a baby, and I wondered if this was some sort of early symptom?

Or is it a symptom of some sort of horrible illness?

    (eek!)

    Many thanks,

  • I have just seen an advertisement on Yahoo which has filled me with disgust and outrage!?

Has anyone seen this 'One Week Health' ad on Yahoo? Which advertises weight loss? It is an absolute disgrace - it shows two photos of the same woman - one looking totally normal (the supposedly 'fat' picture) and then another of the same woman looking ill and verging on anorexic (the 'attractive' picture).

I am sorry to have a rant but this DISGUSTS me. Young people see this! Why must we have this message shoved down our throats that scrawny and ill is the new 'beautiful'???

Join me in my stand - if you agree that this is wrong, put a comment below, then yahoo might rethink allowing this ad...

  • Survey on old property necessary?

Advice from people who are experienced in this matter only please. I am purchasing an old property (1750) which is leasehold (so I think we are only responsible for the interior).

I am in a quandry as to if it is worth getting a building survey on it. The only things I can think of that would show up is damp and woodworm (our estate agent says a recent survey has been carried out on it and both are fine).

Also, we want to let it out. Does this mean we need a survey?

Any help here appreciated - I keep hearing different things from different people!

  • Leasehold property survey - which sort?

    Hi!

We have just put in an offer on a leasehold property (a maisonette). The property is pretty old, definitely at least 200 years old. We were assured that a recent damp survey brought up no bad results and that the roof and anything exterior is the freehold owners issue. So, what sort of survey should we get done on it? I don't want to waste our money paying out for the wrong survey!

Any advice appreciated, please, no silly answers, only those who have a good idea on this matter - many thanks x

  • Dreadlocks and fringes.?

    Dreadlocks experts only please!

I am considering getting dreadlocks soon - as I'm going travelling for a year and don't want the depressing vision of my kinky unstraightened hair looking back at me every time I pass a mirror.

However, I have a fringe at the moment. Is there any way that dreads can work with a fringe (appearance-wise) or am I looking at growing the fringe out?

Also, what is the best way to go about getting dreads - hairdresser or do it yourself? I'm certainly not just going to let my hair get dirty until it dreads naturally, as one of my mates did that and it looked revolting.

Many thanks for those in the know.

  • Lesson Ideas For MultiCultural Poetry?

Any suggestions (providing they are sensible) are welcome. I am shortly going to be teaching a Year 10 class (of mostly boys) about 8 multicultural poems, including poets like Derek Walcott, Grace Nichols etc.

I am looking for fun, innovative ideas on how to structure these lessons; not just from teachers, but even from pupils who might have enjoyed a lesson on this subject.

Please, no silly answers, genuine ones will be so very appreciated!

  • Camping in South of France?

Hello! We are looking to go camping round east coast and south coast of france for two weeks, and are looking for any recommended areas, campsites, and also, if anyone has done it themselves, how long it takes to drive from the north to the south!

We are coming from the UK, so any tips from UK people that have done this already would be really appreciated. We are on a real tight budget too, so nowhere expensive!

    Many thanks in advance!

  • microwave and fridge freezer question!!?

Oh, this is such a boring question, but we have a really small kitchen, and I was wondering - is it safe to place a microwave oven on top of a fridge? I presumed that both items would be sufficiently insulated not to affect one another, but wanted to check!
