I tried out Creative auto mode today on my 60D and I got a few Monochrome shots I really liked. I just transferred all the files off my memory card and the pictures I shot monochrome are in color! Is there a way for the file to be what I shot? Can I make these go back without photoshop involvement? (I know hoe to monochrome in PS, but I want the image I shot, without PS interaction).

My HP laptop has been randomly shutting itself down lately. At first I thought it wa sthe hard drive, but that went completly bad and I replaced it, but it's STILL shutting down for no reason. The fan is still on but the laptop does get hot at times and normally this is when it shuts off. I keep it on a table so that the fan has room to push the hot air. What else could it be? Please help, I don't want it to keep losing my homework assignments....

I keep seeing comics that are graded as 9.8 and put in plastic protective cases. How are they graded? How can I get some of mine graded?

I can't save new favorites to my groups or remove old ones. What's going on?

This is not meant to be a partisan question. I have an issue with the way politics are working lately. Last I checked, according to polls most of the country is against the war right? I know that the president vetoed the bill, but if politicians represented the people (as they are supposed to) wouldn't it be about the same division in the house as it would in teh country? Why are we paying people to play with our lives after we elect them to represent us?

Sometimes a person is caught in a prayer that they may not agree with (religious reasons or perhaps lack of the same religion). Is it more politely to withdraw from the prayer and sit quietly, or participate (unless of a different religion of course) even if you don't agree with it? What would be considered more polite?

I think good questions should be able to recieve points from answerers similar to how good answers can get thumbs-ups, Stars seem to be a start to this method, but should there be points attached? Why or why not? How would you want to see it work?

Which do you find more important? Game Graphics or Gameplay? Why?

Here's my story:

In high school I found I was crazy about a girl in my class. She asked me to a Valentines's Dance and of course I said yes. I asked her to be my girlfriend, she said she wanted to think about it and talked with her parents Because it would be a biracial relationship, they said don't. Mostly because they had gone through far too much in their own biracial relationship.

Then we found out she would be moving, I helped her move the last day she was here, got to know her family and her parents. They were all great and they ended up really liking me. So she moves, I can't stop thinking about her, we talk on ICQ and one day I tell her. "I love you", she says "you can't". We lose touch, I hear that she may be getting married after school (About now). I found her old number, it still belongs to her parents. I want to call and find out what she's doing, maybe see if she has thought of me like I have of her. Should I do it? What do I say to her parents to not sound creepy?
