What is the correct way to use hypens in this sentence?
I am presenting a paper and I need to write this sentence. My problem is that hyphens should be used and I can not figure out where to put them.
The pleasure lasts an hour and a half. I need an answer urgently. I have to turn in this paper in the morning
Only serious english please. My teacher is a stickler for things like this.
3 AnswersLanguages9 years agoWhy do people vote themselves as the best answer when they totally ignore the context of a post?
I posted a question about cleaning linoleum floors in a rented house. The answer that was picked ignored every instance on helping me find a cleaning solution, She also ignored the fact that if I put down tiles cheap or not as I stated I would have to pay to have them done professionally which also means pay to have them removed and the floor refinished incurring what ever cost the landlord decides is chargeable.
She did not even address the cleaning issue and I am sure she voted herself as the winner. Why is this community not helping others but helping themselves to votes only?
With her idea I could land myself in a pickle as I found out that the landlord does not return rental deposits no matter what you do he bitches about it. I was told that all improvements must be professionally done, Meaning I need to submit a bill from a contractor? I am wondering if the woman cannot read pr simply ignores facts as they do not apply to her.
Here is a link to the question please observe how insensitive this person is to what I asked and I am sure with this attitude she would always be in trouble. What I dislike is the brazen way she voted herself as the winner. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201110...
3 AnswersCleaning & Laundry10 years agoHow to clean linoleum kitchen floors? I'm open to ideas. Willing to try anything reasonable once.?
Moved into a house and the condition of the floor is bad, It is discolored and yellow in the heavy traffic areas. I used degreaser to remove the little black spots of oil on the floor but I cannot remove the dingy color on the linoleum. I wanted to tile it myself, but the land lord wants professionally done tiles, YEAH RIGHT They can't even clean the house before I got it, but they are demanding things they will not do for it go figure.
I have no problem buying 120 tiles and doing it myself but will not pay a contractor. I will be stuck in this house for the next 2 years
Need a solution from the wonderful people on this community. I hate dingy looking floors. Your invaluable help is appreciated. Thanks
6 AnswersCleaning & Laundry10 years agoHow does extensive blood loss affect a person?
If you do not work in the medical field please do not answer this question. Preferable only doctors should answer this question.
This is about very young persons age range 11 and 19 years of age. Loss a lot of blood through negligence of a person in a hospital. The other through first time period. Plasma was given and needle removed and the person was left to bleed. The person did not realize that they were losing blood until they felt wet. Loss of blood for a 112 lb person loss was about 3 pints. Second one on her first period.
All legal angles are being handled for the former. No need for legal advice only medical advice. I am interested in the health perspective only, possible future heart problems and health problems all advice appreciated. My email is open in case of a need to communicate with me. Instant messenger is also open. If not available please leave message. Serious minded people only.
Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerOther - Diseases1 decade agoDoes anyone agree that that Postal Service hours are totally out of date with reality? They want 2 cents more!?
I think the Postal Service should open with two shifts, from 7 AM to 7 PM. I understand that a lot of people are emailing because they need quick answers. Not everyone is in a hurry.
3 AnswersOther - US Local Businesses1 decade agoThere's this old slow song I've got stuck in my head...?
It's very slow, almost like a ballad. I think the singer is female, The only voice I have to reference is my own. I only have just part of one line that keeps repeating in my head. It goes
"...In a race against time..."
It's slow, almost dirge slow I think, and hauntingly beautiful. Help me find it, please?
2 AnswersLyrics1 decade agoHow to make my daughter realize she needs to stand up for herself?
My daughter is 12 and she's ignoring bullies, but they haven't stopped. She won't talk about it and she won't stand up for herself. How do I get her to understand that this is a serious problem? She doesn't even listen to them. I had to find out through my older daughter that she was being bullied at all. The kids talk about her behind her back, though neither I nor my older daughter know what they say to her, other than what my daughter has relayed.
The only thing that we have heard about from her is that they call her "vagina" in school, since her name is Virginia.
I worry because she doesn't even listen to them. It's quite possible that they could be planning to hurt her and she doesn't seem to care. What can I do?
